This remote is a perfect replacement for the OEM remote. I placed batteries into it and that was all the setup that was required. Press power button t vs came on and remote worked flawlessly. It even automatically connected to my soundbar. Definitely recommend

It works with the TV but would not sync up with the TV so the voice command can work. But everything else works. Just can't use voice command

The magic remote is somewhat "the same" one I got with my TV. When that one started to break apart within the control wheel I decided to get a backup unit. I switched to the new remote and lost some functionality that I had with the original... Set-top cable box and soundbar to be specific. Bottom line... I would have expected the smart TV magic remote to easily step into the same role as the previous one. Be ready to reconfigure your external boxes to relearn the basic IR commands.
