I wasn't expecting much quality when i ordered this. I had recently replaced my pool pump motor and wanted to keep it out of the elements. So, I ordered this device. It arrived in a flat box with the device knocked down. I'm pretty handy but assembly was a bit challenging. The sides fit VERY tightly into the top. I used a hammer and even though I got pretty aggressive with it, the plastic pieces didn't dent or break. The pieces did mate. They likely will never come lose. I didn't use the included brackets although they looked like a good design and durability. This cover fit my motor perfectly without the brackets because of the location of the power cord and pool bonding wire. I would recommend.

For such an inexpensive item, this does a surprisingly effective job of shielding my pool pump from the sun and heat. Although I purchased it toward the end of summer, the color has held up well, and the material hasn’t become brittle. Assembly was a bit challenging, as the pieces didn’t slide together easily, but once assembled, it performs its job quite well.

My old pump case rusted where the gutter dripped on it. My pool service recommended a cover for the new pump. This does the job, but it is frustrating to install. I had to enlarge the access hole for the electrical supply. The pieces are flimsy and brittle but once installed it works for the intended purpose. It doesn't cost much to possibly extend the life of the pool pump.

This cover do not fit regular sprinkler pumps.

I've been looking for a pool pump cover for a while and was pleased to find this one. Easy to attach, good look to it and will keep the sun and rain off of the pump. Should have bought something like this a long time ago.

This product requires you to use a sharp know and scrape off the bumps inside the grooves to put the sides onto the top! Omg . Really hard to do and the product is cheap plastic

I used the information in many of the previous reviews to carefully assemble this cover without incident. I de-burred the top cover groves for the side pieces. I coated the groves with dawn dish detergent. While holding the top cover vertically, I inserted the side pieces into the cover groves and carefully tapped the side pieces down until they were fully inserted. (Very tight fit) With the assembled top and sides upside down, I inserted the motor clamps into the appropriate slots in the cover (need to push the brackets "evenly" on each side to get them to go in the easiest). Recommend not cutting out the conduit knockout until you have test fit the cover. Once assembled, the motor clamps pull the sides in towards each otherhh a little, but straighten out when placed on the pump motorSummary: it's an inexpensive motor cover that works if you take the extra time to carefully put it together.It does indeed work, but like in most cases, "you get what you pay for".For long term applications in constant sunlight, you may want to consider a more robust product.
