The initial is on both sides. The claw can be twisted left or right so you can get it to fully open. I was worried from other reviews but it seems to be made to rotate. Very well made. The Nissan key fob fit without having to use an extra ring. Also comes in a very nice box.

UPDATE: I want to say that this company is all about customer service!! They went above and beyond to make sure I was happy. While the keychain didn't work for me, if someone only needs to open the lobster claw clasp occasionally, it would work fine. I needed to open it multiple times a day. Otherwise, the keychain is well made, definitely not cheap, and well packaged!Original review: Bummer! I have never left a one-star review and rarely write reviews. I wanted to like this keychain, and I certainly like the looks of it and have read the reviews that it was larger than expected, so that was fine. I purchased this based on looks and EASE of use. It's described as an easy use clasp, but NO!! The clasp did not open wide enough to add ANY keys to this keychain. I could yank it open with two hands, but I wanted to use it easily. Unfortunately, while I hope mine is just defective and it is indeed an easy clasp, I already have to go through the hassle of sending it back and waiting for my refund, so purchasing another in hopes of it actually being an easy clasp keychain is too much work.

It’s exactly as advertised. It seems very high quality, has no flaws that I’ve noticed, and hasn’t shown any signs of wear after a month or so of accidental drops and bumps and hits. (I’m dangerous with my keys, I think!) A word of caution though, the clasp doesn’t open very wide. The picture I posted is as wide as it will possibly go, which doesn’t bother me since it hooks on my purse just fine, but it might be too narrow for some. But I’d definitely still recommend it!

I was looking for a keychain and came up upon this one. When I received it I was very impressed. Great quality leather and well made. I almost sent it back. I was pressing the clasp to open it and it did not open much even for me to slide a key in. I fumbled around then realized I had to turn the clasp about 45 degrees then press the claps which opened wide and I was able to effortlessly put the key in. When finished I just turned it and it went back in the original position. It is a nice safety measure. Thanks for this keychain.

This keychain is even better than what I expected. It is very well made and sturdy. Its also attractive and simple. The clasps are all easy to use but also give me confidence that they will last and not break and result in losing a key. I have been recommending this keychain to everyone!

Very happy with this. Looks great, good size. Only down size was the box it came in was very hard to open but it made for a good laugh.

I get compliments daily on this. in response to the negative reviews about the clasp not opening. if you turn it a little it will open fine. which for me is great because if you don't turn it. it won't open therefore not accidentally unlocking itself from whatever its hooked too and getting lost. a little heavy but very very well made. i love the easy to use hooks. so convenient

This is quality key ring. Personally, i would prefer the “sliding” type of clasp over the loop (this is where ythe clasp opens by the bar sliding down to open), but thats just my preference. One tweak is that the distance between the brass clasp on the leather insignia is very narrow. I would like to see a bit more of a gap, maybe 1/4” to 1/2”, as the clasp will not open without twisting the ring, which im afraid could lead to undo wear and tear on it. Otherwise, i really love the look of the leather with the initial on it!!

I have bought this for my soon to be 17 year old to pop his first car key on.When it arrived I thought it was so lovely, masculine and smart, that I have bought one for my nephew too ready for him to go to secondary school and have his first set of house keys.Hope they both like them when I give them.

Got this for my brother so have not much to say about it apart from I hope my brother will stop losing his keys now. looks strong good strong clasp so you can hang it from your belt loops
