Worth Every Penny
I was looking to find a kettle to heat water, but couldn’t find something I really liked, So, I decided to take a chance on this surprisingly expensive device. I was thinking I would likely return it, because it just heats water, right? That it does. But it is the most beautifully designed, perfectly working device I have seen in a long time. It actually lifts my spirits as I go about preparing my French press coffee. The lid opens with the flip of a button, but on a damper. It shows required water minimum and maximum clearly stamped into the stainless steel. The obviously well built coil that very rapidly heats the water lets me know it is serious in what it does. It beeps to let me know it is at that exact temperature, and holding. And, sure enough the water is heated to a series of preset temperatures that accommodate most anyone. I use the 200° setting for French press as my default. I hate clutter, but this device sits permanently on my kitchen counter because it is highly polished and beautiful to see. I find it cathartic to burr grind great dark roast beans that have been vacuum sealed, and use the perfect temperature water to seep the coffee grounds. This elegant water kettle is a big part of that ritual. I HIGHLY recommend it.

elegant looking and quick
Beautiful to look at and very quick to boil water. Caveat: it holds only about 8 cups of water, if you're making drip coffee. That's enough for us, but maybe not enough for more than 2 people.

This kettle very well crafted and is beautiful in simplicity but functions very well.
Before buying this beautiful Aarke stainless steel kettle, I read many many reviews and looked at several other of the stainless steel interior electric kettles.I actually bought the Saki Pro kettle, but just returned it because no matter which setting you put it on, the kettle would heat the water to 212 degrees. They said they were planning on sending out a software update to fix this problem. Not sure how that would happen since this is a “dumb” kettle with no internet access.Back to the Aarke kettle. Some reviews said they wished it beeped when it’s done. It DOES beep. You have to turn it on though, just follow their instructions. This kettle heats to 185 degrees in just a couple minutes. It is very quiet compared to the Saki which was very noisy. The Aarke kettle insides are all stainless except for the small piece of a silicone seal at the top.I have used this several times now and don’t regret my purchase at all. If you can afford to pay $250 for a kettle, I highly recommend this one. It is perfect. I don’t think you will be disappointed.

Don't judge the book by its cover
I was on a mission to buy a 100% stainless steel kettle with a 100% seamless inside. After purchasing and returning 4 kettles (ranging from familiar brands to unfamiliar ones) for quality issues, I tried the Aarke kettle. I’m glad I tried Aarke as I can now easily rank it as the worstest among the 5 kettles! There is so much plastic (BPA free or whatever the crap), welds, screws, springs, and rubber (or silicon or whatever) inside. I saw a rubber gasket on the lid before the purchase, and thought I could get rid of it. But I ended up removing the entire lid! Funny part is it’s not 100% stainless steel even after removing the lid.I’ll give a 5-start to their marketing and logistics team. But their design team, especially the lid, is the sole reason for my 1-star rating. I can’t deny that the lid was satisfactorily smooth, but totally unnecessary. So their description of “minimizes use of plastic” is the biggest pun. Either Aarke doesn't know why they are building a stainless steel kettle, or I’m too picky. Either way, it deserves the least rating. My curiosity kept me from returning it, allowing me to explore the extent of their genius engineering. Thanks, Aarke, for feeding my cognitive thirst! My recommendation to Aarke will be to just have a simple removable 100% stainless steel lid. Still I’m sure you can’t remove the temperature sensor sealing at the bottom, so this kettle is not for me.My recommendation to fellow picky buyers will be to not to go for kettles with a temperature sensor.

It is a beautiful item without any plastic parts that I really appreciate. Works quickly quietly and very easy to figure out. Nicest cat I’ve ever had.

Perfection!!
What to say about this FABULOUS electric kettle. It's so simply programmable to get exactly the heat that you want. It works quickly. It has ZERO plastic!!! so worth the fact that it's a wee bit pricey. Oh, and it's absolutely beautiful ! It looks so nice on the counter it's a perfect mix between modern and transitional and blends nicely into our kitchen! Wish they made a coffee pot! ( and yes I know I can use it after I heat it up as a pour over but I'm lazy!)
