Snapper XD 82V MAX Cordless Electric Pole Saw Kit with (1) 2.0 Battery and (1) Rapid Charger, Red/Black

I bought the Snapper mower, edger,pole saw and weed wacker and they are all interchangeable with the same rechargeable batteries! Works great, guiet no gas to store, mix or spill!!

I was really looking forward to getting this pole saw and took it out of the box and it looked great and appeared to be more substantial than other battery operated pole saws I've looked at. Now the bad part the battery was totally dead and I put it on the charger and no lights came on showing it was taking a charge so don't know if the charger and battery were both bad. I called Amazon customer service and asked it I could send the just the charger and battery back and send me a replacement but this wasn't an option for them. Offered to give me about $44.00 to keep it but on the Amazon the battery and charger were about $112.00. So I boxed the saw back up and returned it for a refund. If I'd been offered at least $100.00 I would have kept the saw and bought another battery and charger. I thought Amazon would have checked the battery and charger before selling it as used and acceptable. I expected some scratches on the saw but didn't expect Amazon would sell it with a defective battery and charger.

Cant reach the button to start with one hand! My hands are not big enough to reach starter button, I have to use two hands to start and than keep running while positioning the saw to cut!

This pole saw is in a different class than the cheaper alternatives. The only drawback that I have experienced is with the larger battery and solid construction of this saw it is heavy. There are numerous accessory tolls that are available which is a real plus especially once you have the battery since you can then buy bare tools. The battery is large powerful, and has a light that shows how much power remains which is a real plus with a lithium battery since they run strong and then simply die. This would be very inconvenient if you were on a latter and halfway through a limb. However the battery is big and powerful but heavy.

The battery life is very short. I used them for a couple of months but after about 90 days, the batteries will no long take a charge. I bought a new charger thinking the charger was bad. But instead found out that the batteries were bad. Now I have two useless batteries and two good chargers. I didn't get the warranty so cannot get replacements without paying $120.00 per battery. Buyer beware.

battery no good was dead and i put it on the charger for 2 days and is still dead ! this is the 2nd time this has happened to me !

Being a woman that does her own yard work this makes it easy for me to get that high trimming done without needing a ladder a breeze. Really gets the job done.

The pin holding the plastic sprocket guard is screwed into the unit. The pin on mine unscrewed while I was using it, and the entire unit--saw blade, chain bar and sprocket guard--came flying off.The pin holding the sprocket guard should not be screwed into the unit because it can unscrew.
