Super fun puzzle!
Super fun puzzle! The amount of really minute, funny details in the puzzle is amazing. Not one to knock out in an afternoon. Originally bought this for a puzzle addicted, almost homebound friend who gave back after completing it. She completes puzzles in a day or two but not this one! Pieces fit well together and high quality.

fun puzzle
This is a fun puzzle. It took me around 10 hours. There's a lot of the detail, and many of the book titles are funny, such as _The Postman Always Brings Fries_ and _The Last Croissant in Paris_.

The "42" to my question of "What is the puzzle you've ever ultimately most enjoyed?"
Absolutely one of the most enjoyable puzzles I have ever put together! So many intricate and fun details, many that you cannot even see on the cover, even up close and in person. Details reveal themselves as pieces click together. The intricacy of Colin Thompson's art is a delight! Book lovers especially will find many a small chuckle in his clever plays on book titles, and fans of the beloved late Douglas Adams will find at least four references to the Answer to The Ultimate Question! Each one made me smile! So much whimsy and nostalgia. And although you do have to pay attention to see where pieces might be located (thankfully, there is a large sheet of just the artwork accompanying the puzzle within the box, so you can keep it close at hand, without anything covering the picture as happens on the box cover), there is absolutely no tedium, and no "brute force" method required! (By brute force, I mean the method of sorting by shape, so you can then try each piece in turn until you stumble upon the one that resembles every other piece, until you find the one that fits. That method is often required when you have endless spans of the same color.)*I will add on a side note that there is a very slight PG aspect in a small section of the puzzle that will likely be over the heads of children that complete the puzzle, but wanted to let other customers know, just so you can make a completely informed decision. There is a topless naked fairy, which happens to be sitting in front of a book called "Blue Peters". Now, there is a blue colored little male character nearby, presumably by the name of Peter. However, the double entendre of a "blue peter" and a naked fairy will not escape the notice of many adults who might pay attention to detail. Again, I would personally not consider it a deal breaker for such a wonderful puzzle, but the best decisions are the informed decisions.I rarely do the same puzzle more than once, but the exceptional quality of the detailed whimsical artwork and the perfectly fitting pieces make this puzzle the rare exception that I look forward to completing again in the future.TL;DR? Super Highly Recommend!

So many tiny details, super cute!
Ravensburger is the best puzzle brand we have found. The quality of their puzzles is always top notch. The pieces fit together nicely, the image is always bright and crisp, and the pieces don't bend or break apart like with some puzzles. All Ravensburger puzzle pieces are blue on the back, which is a nice touch, but sometimes makes it a bit more challenging to pick out blue pieces such as sky. They also come in a nice sturdy box.Another great feature of all Ravensburger puzzles is that they are packaged in a plastic bag (within the box) that is labeled with a batch number that you can use to try to get replacement pieces. We have never had a puzzle from them that was missing any pieces (and we have done around 20-30+ of their puzzles), but if you happen to end up with any missing pieces yourself, you should have the batch number available so you can contact Ravensburger's customer service (through their company website). I suggest that when you open up your puzzle, you write the number from the bag on the inside of your box. This way, you don't have to keep the bag around, and you will always have the appropriate batch number with each puzzle. Their current policy states that they are not always able to replace single pieces, but they will do their best to resolve the situation. Their manufacturing process requires they change the cutting tools every so many puzzles (and this process changes the shapes of the pieces), so my guess is that you will be able to get replacement pieces as long as your puzzle is from the current cutting tools. This particular puzzle is super cute with so very many tiny details. I would estimate challenge level to be moderate on this particular puzzle.

Ravensburger is the BEST puzzle brand and this particular puzzle is awesome!
Oh my gosh. This was my first Ravensburger puzzle, and I ended up immediately buying four more because I loved it so much! There is just so much to love about this puzzle! First of all, the feel of the individual pieces is so much higher quality than most puzzles -- it's not just a mental exercise putting this together; it's a sensory experience. The thickness, the smoothness, and the obvious quality mean that the puzzle will last through far more rounds of assembling and disassembling. The fit of the pieces is tight enough to make it easy to move large chunks from one place to another, which is really nice (for instance, I sometimes like to sit back in a recliner and work on just one portion on its own, then later add it to the rest of the puzzle). Also, every piece is different from the others, so you don't get tricked into putting a piece in the wrong spot. The images themselves are so much fun. There are TONS of tiny details, which is what I love most in a good puzzle. I ended up frequently spending time just exploring the picture itself because there was so much to notice. The book titles are funny and there are all sorts of amusing little critters all over the place to find. When I finished it, I had to give myself a good half hour for admiration of the puzzle before I could put it away! And the colors are wonderfully vidid.Hands down, this was my favorite puzzle in a long time. (And believe me, I have done a LOT of puzzles -- I'm an addict!)
