I absolutely love the leather wallet part of this case, durable and ages well, and it’s great for storing cards and cash. Looks smart, functional and ticks all my boxes. However (and it’s a big however) the plastic case that holds the phone absolutely lets the whole thing down. I have had two of these now, and both became unusable after about 6 months when parts of the plastic case started breaking off: first the little bar of plastic that goes along side the volume buttons, and then the corners that hold the phone in place. The first time this happened I naively continued to use the case, but when getting my phone out to take a call one day, it slipped out of the case because of the broken corners, and smashed the glass screen protector (thank goodness I had one on). I read some reviews of people saying they had had similar issues, but that these had now been resolved as the manufacturer has changed the plastic holder part of the case, so I decided to order another one. For about 5 months, things looked good as it seemed to be lasting, but then cracks started appearing and before long bits were snapping off again. So disappointing because I love the rest of the case so much more than any other I have seen, but I’m not sure I want to spend another £25 to see if it will be third time lucky.

Update: Following my review, the seller contacted me to see if they could remedy the situation at all. They provided their new version cover which has a much better housing for the phone - so far, so good, so changing from 2 to 4 stars for both better product and customer service.Good points: Good looking, strong outer material (not the plastic phone housing), 3 card slots and a separate card size pocket.Not so good points: Only bought 6 months ago and the plastic part that houses the phone is cracked so badly it no longer hold the the phone in, rendering the case useless. It started splitting after only a couple of months and progressively got worse. I've been putting up with it for longer than I should, considering the case is meant to protect the phone and instead my phone has been at risk of falling out of the case for some considerable time. Would expect any case to last longer than this, especially something described as 'handcrafted' and 'designed specifically for your phone model'.

I spent quite a while searching for this phone case and was so pleased when it arrived really promptly. Great service!I wanted real leather and a flexible inner sleeve to hold the phone. It seemed perfect. However, as the leather is nubuck, every speck of dirt or moisture really marks it. Despite spraying with protector, the case looked shabby and dirty within days.It hasn’t had particularly heavy use but after less than a month I am going to have to replace. I shall definitely buy traditional leather rather than nubuck.Not Snakehive’s fault. I knew what I was buying but just didn’t think it through. Would shop with them again but will take more care when choosing!

This is the second Snakehive phone cover I’ve purchased. The first was a very pale colour, cream and pink but the only one available at the time. Eventually, after a year and a half it was looking very grubby, so I bought a new one. If it had been a different colour I would still be using it. This time there were various colours to chose from. They are very good value, sturdy and easy to remove your phone if necessary. They wear very well. Leather with slots for credit cards, although I did not use those. Very pleased with my new one.

I had read a lot of reviews to chose this particular brand and I am glad I did.I’ve had it a month now and it’s great. The magnet clasp goes around the case which includes 3 cards and spare note and a paper card pass so that’s good.The case around the phone is of a clear silicone type material so I can’t imagine it cracking, I’ve dropped it a few times and it is still in tact.The leather looks really good and will look better as it wears in comparison to the millions I’ve had that have looked battered as they have worn... so paying the extra is worth it!If it’s a gift it comes in a nice box!I’d take a picture... but my phones in the case... sorry 😐 but trust me it’s a great case 😊👍

This is one very classy phone cover - I love it and it's been much admired. I've had a snakehive cover before: I dropped my phone several times onto tarmac and each time the case protected the phone, but finally the hard plastic holding the phone broke - not the case's fault - it was simply doing its job. This new case is much better than my first case. I love the fact I can put my credit card and some cash into the cover. It looks great and even smells great! Well done Snakehive.

Arrived promptly and seems good quality, can’t comment on durability yet. I do like the soft plastic holder for my phone. Because this isn’t hard plastic it’s unlikely to break due to it being brittle. The covers over each ‘button’ don’t cause a problem so using the phone is as easy as it was before the buttons were covered.

the pro's - exquisite leather,very tactile, beautiful colour, looks great.Unfortunately it has cons - the casing inside does not match the quality of the exterior, mine arrived with a cracked seam, also the cut outs are just a tad off, which you would be ok with if this was a fake leather £5 one but for £25 i would have expected better.Would i buy it again, from my own experience and the reviews it seems to be a bit hit and miss with the casing, so no, im afraid i wouldn't.
