John Thompson's Easiest Piano Course: Part 3

Keep on truckin' Keep on keepin' on! Bk1 then Bk2 then Bk3 and onward!!
This set of John Thompson's Easiest Piano Course books (1 to 4 so far) has opened the keyboard cover on our little piano - by the hands of our 6-year old!! He had been not-so-interested for a while but when he got these books and with the help of Mama and a piano-teaching friend of ours - our boy stepped right up! The books haven't made it to night-time reading but they HAVE made to to morning reading before breakfast and quiet time before his little 3-year old brother gets out of bed. And the set of books moves around the house with him for reference during other daytime seasons of play and study. Even now in out "Shelter In Place Home Schooling Routine". And, from my reading of the books, I think I can also be learning the easiest way too!! And best of all, he is so proud to show off new practice elements and play for us all. What a wonderful effect these books have had. They have actually made all the other random piano books we've been trying all along Much More Interesting for him!!

Good for review
Thank you for bringing color to the graphics of book 3 now. That green only was a little hard on the eyes. Thanks for the major scales and chords at the back of the book - I use them all the time but wish the V7's had the traditional spelling. I have to edit those for my students and it messes up the pages. Other than that - a very good book to reinforce and review skills.

Don't use it often, find it a bit difficult for many young students who have completed book 2.
I rarely use this JT's book 3, I find it a bit difficult for students who have completed book 2, but it is workable. I, many times, prefer to use JT Modern Piano Course Book one if a student has completed JT's EPC book 2 OR, if the student is able, I skip JT's EPC book 2 and go straight into Modern Piano Course book one.

Great Piano Books
I purchased this book at the recommendation of my son's piano teacher. I love that each song has a YouTube video as well.

John Thompson's Easiest Piano Course Book 3
I like this particular series and have already used Book One and Book Two for piano students. They like the colorful, cartoon-like creatures that point out important points. I like the choice of songs and progression of the books. This was the first Book Three I had ever ordered and it is a appropriate selection for most students who continue taking lessons. Thank you.

I bought all three beginner's books for my grandchildren. Very easy to understand. Hope that they enjoy them.

Perfectly challenging
This is my favorite series to use. It doesn't dawdle over the same concepts. It touches on them, teaches them, and moves on. I feel a lot of the other books move too slowly and my students get bored. This series seems to keep them interested for longer periods of time.

Not the most easiest
It's called the easiest piano course, it's definitely not easy. But it does have some fun peices inside that my youngsters enjoy learning to play it.
