A calming yet uplifting experience
This is excellent stuff that works. I know many probably want to know how it works from one person to another as that can vary. The bottle says take 1-2 a day. I've never taken 2, but I do take 1 a day. Sometimes I skip a day or two and then I continue taking it again. I usually take it in the late afternoon towards the end of the day or into the night. Although I probably could take it during the day and would be fine. What does it do for me? It's a weird kind of interesting effect as it doesn't make me sleepy, but it's not an energizer either. There is a calm slight lifting clear minded feeling. For example, I'm sure you've had that sluggish brain fog from time to time. Maybe at the end of the day you're feeling worn out and unmotivated. I've taken one of these and suddenly there is a little lift where my mind is suddenly 'clear' and I can keep on trucking into the evening. The fog is gone and I receive that second wind that some of us want after a long day, but it's not time for bed yet. I also have social anxiety, but when I take this it's not as bad. I'm suddenly smiling and chatty with strangers when I normally wouldn't be.I know some on here have complained that there is some ginseng in this and that it has kept them awake at night. I personally haven't experienced that with this product. I understand how annoying that can be as I'm an insomniac as well too. This surprisingly has not interfered with my sleep. The other more scary side effects are listed on the bottle as well as on Kava Kava boards that list the potential threatening side effects including liver failure. That's pretty scary, but I don't know the statistics of that. I think if everyone that was taking this was experiencing that, then this product wouldn't be for sale, especially in the U.S. where the FDA bans anything that helps anyone positively. As I mentioned in this critique, I've taken 1 a day max and have experienced no side effects whatsoever at all. If that should change, then I'll update this review.I'm not much of an alcohol drinker, but there is a warning not to take Kava Kava and have alcohol as that can severely damage your liver. Should I decide to have an alcohol drink at some point, I will make sure that I don't take Kava Kava that day. As it stands, the Kava Kava clears the mind and uplifts to the point that it may diminish any cravings for alcohol anyway. Still - sometimes you hang out with friends who want to grab a beer or a glass of wine. I wouldn't take any chances and take Kava Kava on the same day. The other benefit is that I've sometimes taken it an hour before I plan to get into horrible rush hour traffic. Where I live it's pretty bad that it can stress anyone out. On the days I take it before rush hour, it's a calm, but alert focus, and suddenly the traffic doesn't get to me. It says to be careful taking this and then driving due to drowsiness, but I haven't experienced any sort of drowsiness with this at all. It makes driving in traffic more pleasant than when I don't take this, if anyone can actually call driving in rush hour traffic pleasant.I also haven't experimented with taking 2 a day as it does say its safe to do so. If I do one day see what happens with that, then I'll update this review as well too. If I don't update this, then that means I never went to 2 and never experienced any side effects. I've introduced Kava Kava to my daily intake and will continue to purchase this product as long as I don't notice any questionable issues as a result. Not everyone's body chemistry is exactly the same. While what I stated with this review is what I personally experience, this doesn't mean you'll have the same verdict.

Actually works.
Unlike basically every single herbal supplement I've ever tried, and I've tried a lot, this actually works, and works fast. You have to take like 3-6 of them, but within 15 I feel the difference. Also FYI, if you know nothing about kava, a lot of people have to get past an initial "reverse tolerance". Basically some people don't respond immediately and have to take it a few days or a couple weeks before it works. It wasn't like that for me. I noticed effects immediately, although the next day I think maybe it was stronger. Hard to remember.Either way, this is like the only herbal supplement I've taken where the effects were obviously beyond placebo.

Tooth pain is gone!
First of all, I am new to Kava. I started off with powdered root, a bag, the whole nine yards. It works over all, but there are a lot of reasons to dislike the process and the results. That is not what you are here to read about, however, so I shall digress. These pills DO work. I have a serious problem with rotten teeth. Dental work is all kinds of expensive, and prohibitively so at this moment for me. I needed a solution for the pain. Most people have had a dental abscess, so you can guess how much more painful it is when you have the core of a tooth rotting away. This kicked that pains butt so effectively that I am singing its praises! Not only that, but the body feeling is actually very pleasant. So much so that I am kind of surprised that this is not a restricted drug at this point. There is a downside, however. It makes my stomach sour, and it very well could do the same to you. Is it worth that? To me, yes. That is a small price to pay for such effective relief. You are going to have to decide for yourself if having an upset stomach for a few hours is going to be a worthwhile tradeoff for what you seek. But whatever you seek, be it a body feel, relaxation, or pain relief, it really does deliver. I dare say it even feels like opiates in a way. Do with that info as you wish.I am going to be buying it again. Four out of five stars because it delivers but with the side effect of nausea.

This worked better than I expected. My detailed review below...
Before I tested and tried these NOW KAVA KAVA with 250 mg for the Kava part, I took regular Kava Kava 350 mg per capsule. This worked for me with just the Kava Kava, but in the daytime, I was so so sleepy taking just one or two. Then I tried the NOW brand and what a huge difference they have made for me.Below, I will lists the PROS and CONS:Pros:+ Daytime use - When I feel anxious or stresses, I take two of the NOW Kava Kava capsules. Within 15 to 20 minutes, I feel relaxed and very peaceful and calmer. I do not have that sleepy or out of it feeling that I felt taking my old Kava 350mg per capsule ( took 1 to 2 capsules of them).+ Information on other ingredient in NOW...There is a very light stimulant in this NOW Kava formula called Eleuthero. I looked this ingredient up and discovered it is a type of Siberian Ginseng. Each capsule has 100mg of Eleuthero (Ginseng) in it so when I took 2 caps, I had a total dosage of 500mg Kava Kava and 200mg of Siberian Ginseng.***Effect I felt with the mixture of Kava and Eleuthero...I felt very relaxed, yet at the same time had entergy to do my household chores, cook and felt great.+ Night-time use....usually if I cannot fall to sleep, I take a couple of Valerian, however, I did take this 2 of them and became very relaxed while I listen too soothing music. Then I went to sleep.+ RESULTS FOR ME..This really works very well for me to relax me and I feel calmer after I take this. I do nor require this often, however, when I do, it works wonders for me.Well, I hope this review has helped you. What I stated is my own experience with the NOW KAVA KAVA. And you may want to check with your doctor before taking this or any herbal medicine. As for me personally, I am happy with the results that I have encountered with this Kava.
