It was easy to connect and register with the rest of my Panasonic home phone system--took under a minute and I was receiving calls.

This new handset is even better than the one that came with my original base. For the past few years, I've been complaining that the charge on the original didn't last long. For that reason, I held off on buying an adjunct handset. But recently my home received an updated modem and router for the electronic/internet system, so I no longer have old-time phone jacks to use.As a result, I needed an additional handset that will just plug into an electrical outlet, and ordered this. The charge for the new handset, which is identical to the original, lasts 2-3 days or more. So now I think the problem was a poor quality or defective battery that came with the original base and handset. So my current plan is to get a new battery for the original handset. It seems that either handset can recharge in whichever base it ends up at. Back to loving Panasonic phones.

Very happy with phones in KX-TGD564M - added 2 handsets to = 6 in the set. Have not tried to link to cell, but plan to when I have time. Also, have not explored all the features, but the intercom is labor intensive to access, but use it anyway. As stated in the headline, I mainly wanted good battery life & a loud & clear speaker phone This phone has both! I previously ordered KX-TGF57SS (without checking reviews) & battery life was awful & speaker phone volume & clarity was unacceptable!! I then ordered these, tried them out & returned the first set. Again - BATTERY LIFE GREAT & SPEAKER PHONE LOUD & CLEAR.

I bought the Panasonic KX-TGD563 cordless phone that comes with 3 handsets. I decided I wanted to add a 4th handset so I purchased this one from Amazon. I inserted the rechargeable batteries into the handset, plugged its base into an outlet, followed the instructions that came with the handset. On the base unit I pressed the LOCATOR button and held it for 5 seconds. It started beeping. I placed the new handset into its charging base, got a BEEP and the display showed the connection icon in the upper left corner. Also, in the right upper corner it displayed a "4", showing it had been automatically added as handset #4. I checked the phone directory in the hand set and it showed all the names and numbers I had programmed into the phone when I got it a week ago. Easy, quick, and I love this Panasonic phone system. The audible voice tells you (and displays) the name and number calling in every handset when the phone is ringing. You do not have to be at the base station to see this. Great range with these handsets. I may get another handset if I find a need for a 5th phone somewhere in the house. Oh, these phones have handset to handset intercom capability too. Shipped quickly.

doesn't work as described. very unhappy with phone. may throw it out and buy a different brand. not happy!
