I assumed the picture what was going to be delivered. The peacock did mot come with tail feathers fanned out!!!!!!!!!!! FALSE ADVERTISING.

This metal peacock statue looks like the product photos, but it seems like it was placed on backgrounds digitally, which makes it appear larger than it is. I don't think this was intentional because the dimensions are shown in the product photos and in the description. It's my fault for not checking dimensions and I didn't take off any stars for it, but I was expecting it to be bigger.I really like the body with the sprayed colors on the metal. While the back does look like the photos and it seems to be the same metal as the body, somehow it looks plastic to me. I think the feather design might be an overlay or printed on the metal. I don't think it's hand painted. But, however the design was applied, combined with the shine, gives it a cheap, acrylic look.Given its size, I think the current price of $49.39 is a little high.

I recently ordered the peacock statue to add to my garden. The peacock comes in two pieces, the main piece and the tail. The tail just slides into place. Unfortunately, there is no way to tighten the tail, so it wobbles a bit. This is all metal. None of the feathers move like other statues, so no ruffling to make it look fuller. The tail is not as brilliant as the main piece. It seems more matte and the body glossy. The back of the tail is a solid color, so no placing where the backside might be seen. The finishing isn't the best as you can see in my pictures. You can see paint gobs, etc. For the most part, my expectations are met and these flaws won't be as noticeable outside.

I have a few other, larger garden peacock statuary and this little fellow compliments the others nicely. He's definitely a "little brother" because he's about half the size of the others, but the metal feels very stout and the finish is nicely done. The glazing on the tail fan is a little more matte than the iridescent finish on his body, which is a little odd, but you don't really notice this unless you are a perfectionist.
