Very very sharp. So be very careful. First use and i had a cut on thumb without realizing how and when. But super soft in cutting hard stuff even chicken, pineapple. Size is small as compared to other bigger knives with such sharpness. So don't be disillusioned that it won't be that sharp. But yes, it looks ordinary. Shouldn't complain as the price point is low too
