I solved half of my problems with the TiVo Slide Pro Remote
I gambled and ordered this remote not knowing if it would work with my Swedish Comhem labeled TiVo Box. Good news; It Does!I desperately wanted a learning remote so that I could also control the input/source and power on/off on my NAD receiver with the TiVo remote. The standard remote delivered with the TiVo box in Sweden lets you program the volume and mute button for the receiver, while the power and input/source can only be programmed to control your TV (strange limitation).I solved half of my problems with the TiVo Slide Pro Remote. I can now power on/off my TV and also control the input/source and volume on my receiver with the TiVo remote, fantastic! However I did not think it all the way through regarding power on/off for my receiver. For some reason NAD decided to have 2 separate buttons/signals for on and off, on their receivers. And since the Tivo Slide Pro Remote only has one power button I can't program it to both power on and off the receiver like I hoped. So the remote would have benefited from an additional power button. For example a standby button for the TiVo box itself that could also be programmed to be used as an off button for other devices. The size and weight (feel in the hand) of the remote is much much better than the original. Being more compact and also heavier it feels more premium. It's also a lot easier to use, being able to reach all the buttons without having to shift the remote around in your hand. I'm not sure how much I will use the slide out keyboard as that was not my primary reason for ordering this remote, but it's a nice to have feature, and the buttons have a nice clicky tactile feel to them and are not as mushy as the original remote. As a side note to other international buyers that might wonder about the functions of the ABCD buttons and the coloring of these that differ between the US and European versions; Even though the A is red on the european remote but yellow on the US version, they work just the same with the A corresponding to the A, B to B and so on. So the functions follow the lettering, not the coloring.I hope this feedback/review will be helpfull to other prospective buyers and maybe just maybe (in my dreams) a developer at TiVo will see it and consider my comments for future remotes.

Probably as good as it gets for your TiVo Premiere with several bonuses
This was ordered as a replacement to my universal remote, which was starting to fail after a few years of heavy use. (a Logitech Harmony). My ONLY complaint is that this TiVo remote can't do what a universal remote can, i.e. can't control all my devices, so I've had to go back to using more that one remote. I do miss one button turns on the devices I need on. What I love about the remote is this - it is not an IR remote, so I don't have to be line of site for it work, and I have a coffee table between me and my TiVo. Also, 90% or more of my TV habits are DVR based. So I have to turn on my Sony tuner by hand, or with remote, but the Sony's volume CAN BE controlled by it. My Samsung TV can be turned on, and the inputs can be changed, but it can't do anything else to the TV, so again, I need the Samsung remote for that task. Normally I watch live TV on the TiVo anyway. BUT again, if I just walk in, turn on the Sony tuner by hand, hit the TV power button on the TiVo remote, and the TiVo button, I'm good to go. I have a TiVo Premier, so I will advise owners of the same to make sure you get the remote for that model. You can order the same remote for cheaper, and although the same remote, it doesn't come with the dongle that is needed for this model. That dongle plugs into one of the two USB port and is recognized right away. Programming (as much as your system will be compatible) was easy, if not a little involved. You know the drill probably - enter a code and test, repeat until the remote makes your other devices respond. Finally, the keyboard is a blessing if you search YouTube at all with your TiVo. All those things together make this well worth the 50 ish bucks. In reality my previous universal remote also did not operate all the functions of the individual device remotes, so my reaction is you will normally have to make some compromises.

Instructions for Learning Mode
A. LEARNING MODE:I would give the product 5 stars except that it lacks instructions for programming. It's a learning remote, but the instructions say go to tivo.com/support to figure out how to go into learn mode (if you cannot find a preset code). If you search Tivo Support, you can search under slide pro remote and find things that tell you it can "learn" but not how to do it and some dead links in the support page. After using google, I was able to find the instructions. Here they are:You can control your TV’s power, input, volume, and mute functions with the TiVo Slide remote:If you are unable to find a code that works using the on-screen programming procedure described above, the TiVo Slide remote can “learn” how to control your TV‘s power, input, volume, and mute functions directly from other remotes.1. Press the TiVo button and the SELECT button simultaneously, and hold them for three seconds, until the amber activity indicator light remains lit. The remote is now in "learning mode."2. On the TiVo remote, press and release the button you want it to learn (for example, TV PWR). The activity indicator light will flash once to acknowledge the button press, then remain lit.3. Point the remotes directly at each other, no more than 4 inches apart.4. Press and hold the corresponding button on the TV or A/V receiver remote (e.g., Power).5. If learning is successful, the activity indicator light will flash 4 times. If it is not successful, the light will blink 10 times very quickly.6. Repeat steps 2-5 for any additional buttons (VOL UP, VOL DOWN, INPUT, MUTE).7. When done, press the TiVo button to exit learning mode and return the remote to normal operation.B. BUTTON LOCATIONFYI: The buttons are in different positions then previous slider remotes (e.g., bluetooth). The remote one looks similar so you may hit the wrong buttons when trying to control. (This is not a complaint, I knew this going in and was aware that remotes often are set up with different controls.).
