A novelty for me that works
I found it hassle free to start using these 3D glasses even if I had zero previous experience in home 3D. It makes comparing it to other alternatives impossible so I will just give it my personal opinion as a newby here.Glasses are quite massive in comparison with prescription or IMAX 3G glasses but this was expected. After taking them from packaging I let them charge till full (the amber light went off) and it only took 20 minutes for it. Next step was to start Resistance 3 (one of the few titles I have that support 3D), press power button on glasses, enable 3D support in game option and here I go. I'm using Sony Bravia KDL55EX720 that came with automatic 3D source detection turned on so there was no need to go and change any setting on TV.I must say that you need to get used to it or it might be my personal issue (one of my glasses is quite weaker then the other). It was different from Cinema 3D in that it required for me to "work" to get a proper feeling for the depth. After that if was flawless. I didn'nt notice any artifacts or rainbowing, etc. The only downside is that picture in 3D is a lot darker so I need to crank backlight brightness a lot. And then set it back for non 3D... And again...The bottom line is that I am happy with the whole experience and might consider buying a second pair. The only annoyance with picture brightness might not be that big of a deal for other TV model.

Brilliant product
I bought a Sony KDL40EX723BU from Amazon at a bargain £499 earlier this summer and have just decided to buy 2 sets of these glasses to be able to use the 3D feature on my TV. The effect is simply stunning, i cant recommend these highly enough. I changed my Sky HD subscription just last night so we could get access to the 3D content and its well worth the extra £8 per month they are charging me for SKY 3D and the movie pack. The Sony KDL40EX723BU TV is situated on our bedroom wall but i'm that impressed at the 3D effect i'm thinking of changing it with the TV downstairs in the lounge and ordering another 2 pairs of these for our 2 kids, the 2 of them have now taken over our bedroom! The 3D effect is similar to Imax at the cinema which is incredible in the home. Highly recommended!

Worth the money??
I splashed out about £1000+ on a new Sony 3D televison and a new Sony 3D Blu ray player, I then needed a pair of 3D glasses, I choose these, not the cheapest!I must say, these Sony 250's looked and felt very cheap and flimsy, not the quality I came to expect of Sony, the build quality was pretty poor, and I get the impression, they will certainly not last!As for the 3D experience, well, not impressed there either, personally, had I known all this before forking out over well over £1000, I would wait until this 'feature' improves, it's little more than a gimmick in my humble opinion. It's a bit of short lived (very expensive) fun, also, the 3D films, are a lot more expensive, where, even older 2D DVD's ( not blu ray) are upscaled and produce superb results. My advise, would be to wait, or, find a friend, or Hi Fi shop where you can experience this 3D set up, to see if it's for you ..... or not!All this is my personal experience of course, please feel free to comment.

Recgargeable Sony 3D Glasses
Good product and cheaper on Amazon than from the Sony Centre, where I made my original purchase. I only had one pair of glasses which came with my Vaio Sony Bravia Laptop. They take a new battery each time they run out of power. These new ones worked as they should and only take a few minutes to charge. I would recommend this product as they are cheaper to buy and cheap to run, with no difference in performance. They are quite comfortable as well.

Work great but I have reservations
These glasses work great with Sony 3D televisions, as you'd rightly hope, although I have a new Bravia (believe it was released Spring 2012) so I guess older versions might have issues that are fixed on my model. A couple of bad points I've noticed:1) The hinges on the arms seem like they're designed to be as weak as possible, and I wouldn't trust a child with them. For the amount of money these cost frankly that's not on at all! Similarly, the little plastic cover that hides the USB port seems like it is designed to fail. Although it wouldn't be a world-shattering event if it did break off;2) The 3D effect relies on your head being level when you face the television. Tilt your head one way and the image turns magenta, tilt it the other and it goes yellow. Lie on the sofa with your head at 90 degrees to the picture, and the colours are totally wrong. I realise this is just a consequence of the active shutter system but it makes watching 3D films feel regimented and not relaxed. All in all these glasses do the job, and while I do have the above gripes I generally take care of my stuff so I don't expect to smash them to bits any time soon. Just feels like they could be better for this price, especially since they're a mandatory purchase! But still, only worth knocking one star over due to the joy they bring.

3d glasses - great
Bought these as our first ever 3d glasses to go with our new Sony tv and they are great. My only criticism would be that they do start to feel heavy after a couple of hours so if i was going to spend more money i would go for the lighter ones. I am a glasses wearer and they fit fine on top of my glasses fine (this could also be a factor in me feeling the weight of them after a movie but its nothing major and for the price i paid they are amazing. I would price these at around £30, if you can get them for that price or under your getting a good deal. If your going to pay more than that i would look for something a little lighter and less bulky. These charge up very quickly and have never run out on us when watching a film. Overall excellent glasses for a fab 3d experience.
