This is a good dehydrator. The controls are a little finicky and take some getting used to. It dehydrates well, is very quiet, and is easy to clean. It's also attractive on the counter. In the past few weeks, I've dehydrated tomatoes, whole fresh eggs into a powdered eggs for camping, beef jerky, chicken liver jerky, homemade chili con carne with red beans, cabbage, onions, jalepeno peppers, several fresh herbs, and a few other things. I dehydrated the ingredients for a hearty Scotch broth soup seperately and vacuum sealed them in a mylar bag for camping. I accidentally imersed the base of my electric teapot while cleaning it. I took the bottom plate off the electric tea kettle and place the whole thing in the dehydrator on a low temp overnight. The kettle worked fine the next day. I only wish I would have purchase the larger model YASHE instead of this smaller one.

It's work great and plenty of space for all food what i need it.

I have purchased nine (9) dehydrator on Amazon and all have one thing in common, they rarely last more than one year with regular use. This dehydrator is my newest purchase and is at a higher quality than all the other. The heating element and blower are in the back and evenly distributes the hot air which dries out everything evenly.The tray is slightly smaller than my last dehydrator but is sufficient.The controls I really like and seem to work perfect. You can make a food/temperature setting at the touch of a button and then reset everything by hitting the same button, easyI have learned from past experience to not overfill the trays which reduces airflow and could overheat the unit and to purchase the warranty.So far this dehydrator is working great and I would recommend.

Great dehydration system compact and lightweight runs quiet

What I like the most is the amount of accessories included: trays, mesh screens, fruit roll sheet, and a recipe book to get you started.I made onion powder which turned out great. I did try to make garlic powder but failed because I did not let it try out enough. Still learning which is why I love the recipe book to get me the basics. The only thing I noticed, which I am not sure if it happens with other dehydrators, is that it does get hot but not burning when touched. I would make sure there is surrounding airflow just to be on the safe side.

I used the dehydrator the day I received it. Getting back on the bike. Works well, took a temp reading was dead on. Did mangoes and took 10 hours. Cleaned up well, easy to use, really quite. Only problem at first was a little thumping noise that started and then disappeared as it warmed up.

It holds about 5 1/2 pounds of venison jerky if ground meat. I would guess about 5lbs of whole muscle jerky. If you're on the fence and have an old style round plastic dehydrator, buy the cabinet, you won't regret it. Excellent heat control but maxes at 160°, quiet, and is easy to clean.
