Needed knives in a block for RV organization, for what you get way overpriced!
I purchased these knives because I needed a set of steak knives that were in some form of tray or case to prevent them from sliding around in my RV Drawer.These were the lowest price solution I could find on Amazon (not sure if I can say the price but well north of $30). When I received them I was shocked to discover they matched a set of cheap steak knives I already had purchased (without block) years ago, when I say cheap I mean less than $10 for 8. These are thin cheap, plastic handled steak knives, which would have been fine if the price was in line.I am writing this review so you are aware that you are paying $30 just for the wood block! Would have returned but purchased for a looming trip and didn't have time before leaving.

Utilitarian knife set
I was looking for a set of knives would function as all purpose knives. These are great for steaks but are also useful for cutting up fruit and vegetables and block cheese. I am delighted with this purchase.

Great knives for the price
A great knife set for the money. I have other steak knives i have paid more for that are flimsier and have some that are stronger. But for the price paid these are great knives. The wooden block to keep them in is beautiful (if u have the room for it lol). If they were a tad thicker/stronger these would be 5 star knives easily.

Really rough edges
Really rough edge, tough to clean with a sponge because it rips sponge ... same with cutting ... seems like it rips food apart, definitely not smooth cutting.
