Defective unit.
It was seriously faulty Badly overheating to the point I couldn't put my hand on it. Discs wouldn't play no further than 25' or so into the film as the overheating caused them to jam then had to wait till the player had cooled enough, generally overnight, to be able to get the loading/ ejection mechanism to work. Item returned and refund obtained.
