This coat is very warm. I can wear a good sweater with it also if needed.

Q: Is the faux fur trim around the hood removable or is it permanently attached to the hood?

the color fake fur does come off of the coat.

Q: I am 5'3 weight 229pounds what size should I order. I wear 18- 20

I am 5’4 and weight 145 and the coat I bought is an xl very roomy as I wear a lot of layers. I would at least go with a 2x or 3x as it has a drawstring to help cinch the waist for a more fitted look. Can’t tell how many compliments I have received on how gorgeous this coat is, I bought the red, and I absolutely love it!
