Great Knife...
We purchased a Ginsu Knife back when we were first married, 45 years ago. Adverts back then said it would cut most anything and it did (does). We finally wore the old one out, nearly no serations left so we thought we would look for another one. This new version of the Ginsu is longer, heavier steel and the serations are wicked sharp! Probably last the rest of our lives and will pass on to the kids... Good work Ginsu!!

Ginsu is fantastic
The first time we purchased our Ginsu was in 1990. Yes, it was 32 years ago! We still have our original, Ginsu, and yes, we still use it and we still love it. So we ordered a new one, and I would recommend that every household has again soon. It is an amazing knife.

This knife is worth it...please read
Little bit of history....Both of these knives are the Ginsu brand. One was purchased in 1992-1993 by my mother at the local County Fair (one of those sales booths), the other one was just delivered today. I can attest that even after almost 30 years of use, the old knife will still cut...the company motto of "always sharp" still applies, even after all those years...though not as pretty looking....she's still considered the "old faithful" of my kitchen knives. Thank you Ginsu

Doesn’t seem as sharp as it should be
I have heard so much about the sharpness and ability to stay that way for a long time, so I was happy to try one myself.I was disappointed. I had to use a lot more pressure to, say, cut through a bagel, than I did with my other serrated knife which my husband misplaced.I stuck this in the back of a drawer and reordered the missing knife.

Not as sharp as my original ginsu knife
I have not been able to locate another ginsu knife like the one I bought 35 years ago at the Fair. I still have that one and it gets used for everything!

Great Gifts
I love these things! I give them to my teams at Christmas and give them as a gift at every wedding (of course my wife still buys a 'real' gift as well). I include a note that says the knife is to be used for anything and everything that their good knives should not be used for. Along with normal food, we use ours to cut frozen things, to cut back vegetation in the fall (like hostas), to cut sod, etc and we throw them in the dishwasher without a care. It's really nice to have a tool that you don't have to worry about at all - cheap but well made with a full tang (blade goes to the end of the handle), durable (lifetime guarantee), and good for so many tasks. I may sound like one of their old commercials or like a salesman but my dad wrecked an expensive Wustof hacking at a piece of plastic. This knife would have taken it in stride and would have saved the pricey piece of metal. And... this one can be had for a song, so it's pretty easy to help promote it.

It works
I bake sourdough bread, which is notoriously difficult to slice….hard crust and so so soft In the middle. It was impossible even with my electric knife…..BUT this knife cuts it like butter! Y son has one that is about 15 years old and it works just as well. Great product!

Great Price
I still have my original Ginsu knife over 20 years old. It was starting to show it's age, so I bought a new one. The new one cuts very well. I've had it around a year, no problems.
