Terrible!
The flavor and texture was off and was almost expired. I can get really great Mochi in Japanyown so this is my last time ordering this. Actually every single time I buy food from Amazon it is dented expired or terrible in some way. Buy some at the store locally or just make your own.

Not my Flavor Profile
The original flavor was not for me, but I'd be willing to try the other flavors. I think it was the syrup that I didn't like as it sort of tastes like a poor quality molasses that's been watered down and has a funky after taste. It's not really sweet or sugary tasting; burnt sugar flavor maybe. The toasted soybean powder is okay and has a light nuttiness to it. I will try another pack using Pancake/Maple Syrup instead w/the provided powder packet, as that might be more my flavor preference, plus I don't want to waste 2 packs. The candy part is soft, jiggly, has a slight pull/stretch, & holds it's shape well; it's sort of like finger Jello in consistency. It has an unpleasant smell that I cannot describe (burnt yucca maybe) & the package was hard to open (the topping packs opened easily). Will not re-purchase, at least not in this flavor, and wish you could buy single packs instead of them only coming in a pack of 3.

Interesting Taste & Texture, Extremely Chewy & Sticky, 3.5 Stars Rounded Up
NOTE: The flavor I ordered was "Black Honey Soybean," which is really sugar, brown sugar syrup, and soybean flour.I'd venture to guess that most Americans are like me and haven't tried this dessert before. I'm glad I got the opportunity to try it, because it's a very interesting experience for me.A product of Japan, the "loaf" part is very sticky & chewy, definitely not a treat for very young kids or anyone who can't chew thoroughly. Each of the 3 tray packs in my order have their own little disposable knife and deep tray.I did end up using my sharp knife to cut the konjac loaf because it's very dense and I wanted very small pieces. I sliced it up before adding the flavorings, then mixed it all together in the handy tray. The flavoring packet is much too sweet for me (11g of sugar!), so I used my own date syrup and a little milk in the tray instead. It tasted very good this way, but it was still a bit difficult for me to chew, like a cross between a gummy and thick taffy.Tip: It does taste better when it's very cold, so I recommend keeping the packs in the fridge before eating. It has no notable nutrition value, except 2g of protein. It's also too much for my budget at over $4 per serving, so not the best value for me. I won't be getting this again, but I am very glad I got the opportunity to try this very interesting Japanese sweet treat!3.5 stars from me, rounded up to 4 stars.

Disappointing snack.
I had no idea what these were but they looked good in the description so I decided to try them. However, I did not like the texture and the taste was bland.

Interesting novelty snack
Interesting but I wouldn't buy it again. Clear Konjac jelly cube with sweet sauce and sweet kinako powder. It would have been nicer chilled I think. I enjoyed them and they were nicely packaged.
