Quality office gift for my friend. IT was a cheaper option than some others I saw and I think the main difference is the material for this product is rubber/plastic. I saw some similar that the grenade was real metal, maybe in a former grenade. This one is a mold. I bought this for a friend. SHe originally bought a real grenade one on the east coast for the office. She forgot about TSA security. She went to the airport and the took her version, even though she tried to put it in her luggage under the plane. She also wasn't allowed to mail it home since it was a SUnday travel. It was on a wood platform. This one is on a plastic cover. It does mean it is light enough that it can hang on your wall. I think she is going to hang it on the wall so she doesn't have to take up desk space. So a good price/value. It was worth it to me b/c I wanted to surprise her with this replacement but I didn't want to spend too much for just a "nice gesture" to a work collegue.

I recall seeing these grenade complaint department novelties since I was a very young age, and I've always thought they were hilarious. I took a chance and bought it thinking that it would be a cheap version of the ones I'm familiar with. However, it's the same high quality acrylic nicely painted novelty I recall. The grenade is plastic, but it's a good solid plastic and looks real enough to be funny.

JUNK! Don't buy!It was funny BUT got it and it was junk! I bought it for a friend that is very sick to hopefully brighten their day a bit.I thought it was great until I opened the box to see how it looked and it was junk pure junk! Plastic that was extremely breakable and the lettering was scratched as if it had been on someone else's wall or desk a long time. I could deal with that BUT get this the grenade was flopping around and had black glue where it was supposed to be glued down was showing then I looked to see what was holding on the very cheap plastic and I was shocked to find a sliver screw that obviously looked out of place and it was screwed in off center and striped. I was dumbfounded ! I wanted to cry or yell at the manufacturer, what the h*** did you do? After I calmed down I carefully got the screw out and rigged it up with a new screw that fit and painted it white so it wouldn't stand out. I was and still am mad as heck that I was sent something that was broken and put back in a way that made it look worse then sold as a new item.

This is such a fun sign -- it made a perfect gift for "Administrative Professionals Day". I was pleasantly surprised that it had some weight to it. I knew that the sign would be plastic, but I was fearful that the grenade was also plastic -- but it's not! It's pretty heavy. I'm not sure what it's made out of, but it looks quite real at first glance, but not too real that it could land you in trouble. The weight of the grenade makes it stand on its own quite well, without fear that it could be knocked over. At first, I thought some of the red paint on the arrow had chipped away, but if you look at the photo on the box it came with, the paint is supposed to look like that. There are 2 holes that you can use to hang it up on a wall, but it does not come with screws. The best part about this awesome gag gift is the really affordable price.
