Frigidaire FFRE0533U1 Air Conditioner, 5,000 BTU, White

I like this air conditioner very much. Instructions are good. The included mounting hardware is effective and intuitive. It has the most attractive face of any air conditioner I've ever seen. Noise is minimal. Only thing I couldn't possibly comment on is longevity. Frigidaire is highly rated (consumerreports) in this regard, so I have high expectations. Highly recommend.

Bought this last year for my son's room on the second floor. Blows super cool air and love the efficiency on it, as it barely affected the monthly energy bill. I've just pulled it out of storage and got it in the window and it's running beautifully again and is the quietest window unit I've ever used. Very pleased with my purchase!

last year, we put in a central unit for our middle floor, and opted for new AC's in the upstairs bedroom. I was trying to be practical and opted for a less expensive model, while my wife bought 2 more expensive, yet much quieter models. I've been a Frigidaire Fan for 50 years because my brother in law used to own an appliance company and in the early days, he was a big Frigidaire dealer. Great brand, but this AC barely hit's the "so-so" level. It will cool the room, but good luck sleeping at night as it's very loud! And, like most AC's, it turns off, then within minutes, turns back on again, and the pattern repeats itself. You'll need to take a pill if you're sleeping with this thing in your window. On a positive note, it's lightweight, so it's very easy to put in and take out and store. And, yes, it does cool the room.

Disappointing to say the least. Bought this to replace an old 5000 btu AC that died. This unit does not come close to cooling as the one it replaces. It barely keeps the room chilled. This frigidaire AC is so loud, its impossible to sleep when the compressor kicks on.

I'm 69 and in fair shape, installation was not hard. The installation instructions could have been more detailed and you will need additional gray foam rubber to assure everything is sealed.Operation default is Eco Mode and it has been fine so far, but then we aren't even in Summer, yet.I use this for additional cooling in my bedroom as my wife is now cold all of the time while I am hot natured, so the whole-house A/C can't be cranked down to where it should be. When the outside temp hits over 90 later this Summer I will also need this because the house A/C can't keep up.When using the remote function the remote must be able to 'see' the unit.

This device pushed out some cold air for about 7 seconds and then stopped, felt like a tiny fan was on after that, the remote was checked repeatedly. I had a fan the size of a plate in a room in another part of the house and I felt 100% better sitting across from it than I did sitting in front of this AC, I was literally sweating while sitting in front of it waiting for the cold air that never arrived...

I like this little Frigidaire.I have only had one issue, when it rained the water gathered in the bottom and I had to remove the unit to empty the pooled water. (I think I didn't give the unit enough tilt to begin with.) That being said, this unit runs quiet - sometimes so quiet I don't even hear it. I'm very satisfied with this product and will be purchasing another for my bedroom next month. Oh, and the remote control operates from a respectable distance without issue!

This AIR CONDITIONER really did what it is advertised to do....As you know, the humidity was awful this summer. We were much more comfortable with the A/C working/
