Can you plug a mixer into the PA50? If so, how?

Yes, of course you can! Simply plug a typical mono instrument cable (1/4" plug to 1/4" plug) from the output of the mixer to one of the line inputs on the PA50. Plug all your inputs into the mixer as usual.Even without a mixer, remember that the PA50 on its own lets you plug in up to five different devices - one stereo device into the small 1/8" input jack, and four more signals into the two mic level and two line level inputs. This works as long as the two line level signals you plug in have their own volume or level control, so you can adjust them to balance with the mic level signal plugged into the same channel on the Kustom PA50. If your line level signals come from, say, a keyboard and a guitar preamp, the keyboard and guitar preamp will have their own output level controls, so you're all set. If you need more than this, using an external mixer is the solution. Though you lose one of the big advantages of the PA50, which is having to carry only one relatively small item as your entire PA.To be clear, adding a mixer won't let this little thing get any louder - it's still a shoe-box sized PA for small venues. But a mixer will let you plug more independent signals into the PA50, sure.

Can I use it with my bass guitar?

I own this unit.. yeah you can but be conservative with the bass and volume, maybe bass around 12 to 1 o'clock, volume 50 to 60 % it'll sound pretty decent, but ideally some type of bass di box or processor and a powered 8 or 10" sub would make a great small club rig.. I run a looper and sequencer/ drum machine through mine to practice with, but it should have no problem covering small venue like a bar, coffee shop 50 to 75 maybe 100 people.. I've used mine for loopers digitech trio, Boss rc 5, and band in a box/jam band and use a line 6 or Boss katana 50 for one man guitar shred instrumental type of small gigs/presentation stuff 50 to 100 people room.. on a stand it'll project pretty well. Get it off the ground at least a foot or more, milk crate etc . Really surprisingly clean and clear tone. Bass probably sits in the 100 to 120 hz lower mids range which is fine but not enough for DJ rap techno dance type of stuff without a small sub.  But definitely a great little system nonetheless..

Question 3

I want to use this to amplify vocal during band practice. Will it cut through drums, a guitar, and bass

The PA50 might work for that, but it's more for a solo performer or duo. For a band situation, I think you might have better luck with a mixer, so you can control the vocal gain/volume relative to everything else. Then the vocals would be more a part of the overall mix output, rather than isolated to the PA50 "column." Then again, it might work okay for practice, better than it would on stage. Another advantage with a mixer is that you could get monitor outputs so you can better hear your vocals over everything else. The PA50 doesn't have auxiliary outputs except to sync to another PA50. (And one for a subwoofer.)

Question 4

Is this good for playing back audio files while playing drums/percussion

Sure, plug your sound source, CD player or 3.5mm headphone output of your laptop into the third channel and now you have a powered speaker. Get another and use an xlr mic cable and connect the two together with independent gain adjustments.
