Bestway Flowclear Pool Filter Pump

This arrived very quick. It was very easy to set up and works a treat. I use it on a 8' bestway pool, as long as you keep the filter clean by washing it in warm water it keeps clear. It helps te circulate the water preventing stagnation and keeping the water fresh and clean, especially when used in conjunction with a floating chlorine dispenser. The pump is also very quiet.

The pump was a direct replacement for the one we got with the pool. It came with an extra-low voltage isolating transformer this time: much safer. Yes, it had a Shuko-type european plug, but a UK plug is fitted very easily and safely as a replacement. I suppose that if it were supplied in the UK by a UK company, it should have had a UK plug, but that doesn't mean it was "unsafe" or "unusable".We have used this type of pump for 8 ft and 10 ft "inflatable ring" type pools for around 5 years now, and following the instructions for both the chemicals and pump (including connecting the pump "A" to pool "A" and pump "B" to pool "B", the length of time the pump should run each day, and cleaning the filter daily), ensures the pool is kept very clean.To be clear, this pump is to filter out suspended particles, NOT grass, leaves and other debris which need to be collected by other means (we use a kids' fishing net). Must be used with the correct pool chemicals, properly administered.Kids v. happy and safe! That's the most important thing.

So far so good. Working well and a vast improvement on having nothing & with the added chlorine float, swimming pool never looked better.

I bought this for my 8ft easy up pool and must say I am rather dissappointed. It seems to have very little power. I used on day 1 for 2 hours with no noticeable difference. The next day i had the pump on for 6 hours and again I barely noticed any difference. I checked the filter and it only had a few bits of debris and was still white - after 6 hours I would expect it to be pretty mucky and in need of a wash, which i think goes to show that this pump is not very effective at all. In the end I resorted to using a sieve and will be buying another filter elsewhere. My pool still has plenty of small bits floating about after 8 hours of filtering and without it being used in the meantime. My pool has a cover and wasnt exactly filthy but I just expected the pump to clean it which it didnt do. Dont waste your money on this product but if you do decide to get it anyway then buy it somewhere else cheaper.

The pump is ok, not that powerful but does the job. The issue that I found is that it is supplied with an EU plug therefore I had to buy an adaptor. It was annoying as the write up does not highlight this. Overall I would say if you want a pump hats reasonable price it's ok. But if you want a powerful pump this may not be the best choice for you. In my opinion it is ok for an 8ft pool but I think it would struggle with anything bigger.

Definitely would recommend this product to anybody who has a bestway pool. It removes debris from the pool and works well with the bestway pool heater. The good thing about this product is that the cartridge inside the filter is washable so no need to keep replacing the cartridge. Would recommend.

Exactly as described and good replacement for the original pump and the cheapest price I could find. However, it is a little annoying that one of the hoses on the original pump split and the replacement cost for the hose was only £2 cheaper than a new pump!! Moral - don't wrap the hoses around the pump in the box as I think that may be why it split - or it could have been a faulty hose!
