Bad bits first - it’s made of plastic, it feels plasticky as a result, in practical terms this might mean some people need to think whether this is practical for the location they intend to put the switch, if there’s any chance of damage, do think carefully about placing this as it won’t take much to crack.The good bits - everything else! I’ve got the 8 port and 5 port version of these, as you’d expect they work perfectly well together and my 50 device network is working flawlessly, packet loss is non existent, speed tests ran from wired clients are consistent and rock solid, pings are perfect (we have many gamers at home) I’m incredibly focused on network performance and would have noticed quickly if they had anything but a positive impact.In fact I’d go as far to say they’ve been more stable than the 1Gbe TP Links they replaced, which had various built in features that seemed to cause more issues than anything else.Both switches are cool to the touch, ones housed in a closed area with little air flow.Overall I’m really pleased with these and so glad I didn’t fork out £100+ for the over priced netgear or tplink 2.5gbe switches.Buy with confidence!

Awesome bit of kit. I have had none of the issues I experienced with the TP-Link TL-SG108S 8 Port Gigabit Network Switch that this replaced and all of the devices on my home office LAN are working and stable with no drops in network at all. Wish I'd found this sooner and saved myself some coin.Can't recommend enough!

An okay option to add extra ports to a router that comes with 1 2.5Gbps port. simple and easy to use as there is no management to be done. Mostly a plastic white box that will blend in to the background after a while. The link speeds I got were ok over some decent cat6 cable but over a short run of cat5e it wouldn't link at 2.5Gbps and would instead get stuck at 1.

Nice update to my home network after upgrading my internet to 2.5Gb. Plug and play, straight out the box, installed in my upstairs office next to the router and will be installing another to link to downstairs soon!
