Cheap ability to pulse weld, good for a hobbyist
I give YES WELDER 5 star on customer service. They are very responsive, always within a day. That being said and separate from the welder itself I have not been able to get the spool gun to function. (Separately rated )YES WELDER refunded me on the purchase but Em leery purchasing another because of drive roller issues (and I bought this for pulse/spray arc and aluminum) I see reviews but I don't think they are accurate or lack and real use). Buyer bewareSo far it welds and pulses fineFor a hobbyist this is a great first welder. I have expensive USA welders that don't weld any better (obviously long term durability is a question mark so far)I really like the idea of being able to update the software. No planned obsolescenceI am a professional welder and have USA machines. I bought this at full cost because I like to test welders.

32 GB limit for USB-C Memory Stick ..
This is a preliminary review. Still in the box, which is kinda bulky, and weighs 45 pounds, so just be advised if you have a limitation as to lifting capabilities. Also, be advised that as of the time of this writing, the USB-C memory stick that you will need to update the firmware and software for this machine, has a size limitation of 32 GB. I know that seems really low given contemporary standards, but that's what it is. I am not a professional welder, but getting by since my daddy taught me 6 decades ago. Just looking forward to doing pulse, spray-arc, and aluminum. Bought this to update from my old reliable but way out of date Millermatic 175. Cheers!

No “pulse” function on my unit BUT…
There seems to be an “advanced” function on bottom of screen where “pulse” mode is supposed to be. I have reached out to Yeswelder and awaiting their reply. As many of you know, this unit is updatable and hope that is the problem. I also read on some forum that pulse modes are only for aluminum and .045 aluminum wire. Maybe this was due to an older, non updated OS. I was able to weld 24 gauge steel with non pulsed mode and ,025 solid steel wire and 75/25 gas and was pretty impressed after being able to run on 110volt outlet. I was able to turn the voltage, amperage and inductance to a manageable level and am pretty sure with pulse mode , this will be as nicely laid down as to what looks like a TIG looking weld and I’m hoping this will do away with me buying a tig torch. I only use gas on my weld’s despite being a diy around the house. The settings the machine chose was what I used on 24 gauge and 1/8 inch steel. Very nice , smooth weld. I will update as soon as Yeswelder helps me find the pulse mode and or update but so far, this unit is very impressive (even for a NEWB like me)Update: 12/05/24, . The USB-C input is designed primarily for diagnostics or future accessory support, not for firmware updates and “pulse” mode works only while plugged to 220 volts and thickness goes from 1/8 (at 110) to 3/8 on 220. This unit has a safety mode and won’t allow you to work above or below those parameters which is helpful for “newbs” like myself. Apparently you will need special wire tips while using aluminum (100% argon) . I’ve looked at other welders that have pulse mode and can get uber pricy and I believe this will pretty much cover most of the repairs I’ll come across here at home. Building a Santa Maria grill next and seriously doubt I will need to weld beyond 3/8 metal .

Defective right out of the box and poor customer service
Defective right out of the box. MIG wire would not advance at all. Confirmed setup with the manual and the company and they kept asking for a video showing how it didn't work. Way too much hassle and horrible customer service so won't be buying any of their products. I'll stick with Lincoln/Hobart or even ARCCAPTAIN which are far superior in quality and customer service.

Yeswelder Firstess DP200
Let me first start off and say this is a great welder! It took no time at all to set up and get started. Weighing in at around 10 lbs maybe a tad more, it is easy to move around to get it where you want it and where it is convenient. For around $550 dollars you get a single welder that does just about everything rather than having 3-4 separate machines to do the jobs you like wish is a great bang for your buck. I have already completed multiple projects with this welder. The DP200 is the first sub $1000 machine that is actually accurate. If you set it for 90amps you will get 90amps, if your voltage is set to 17.5 when you MIG weld, you will get 17.5 volts. From the flip of the master switch on the back of the machine and boot up, you are good to start welding in 5 seconds! I have provided images of just a couple projects I have been working on. With the right settings you will get the right, heat, speed, and great penetration for strong welds when you need them most. Why 4 stars?:I am on my second DP200. After about 2 days with the first one I had an issue on the LCD screen. I panicked a little because some people were talking down on the customer service saying they were no help. I am here to tell you that they could be more WRONG. I contacted YesWelder directly. The messaged me back later that same day. Yes, they asked to provide a statement, picture, and a very short video of the issue. Which I was able to knock out in 10 minutes. A day or two later I was notified to send in the serial number to start the return process which I did. They caught me off guard with this next part but they said, hey, go ahead and keep the machine with the accessories that came with it for spare parts we have another brand new DP200 on the way to you from our warehouse. They sent me a link to track its whereabouts and in just another 2 days later I was back at it. 1 week later and it’s still working as good as day one. Shout out to Raymond at YesWelder who worked with me to get the return and replacement done.Do not be discouraged by the second half of this review. Yes the welder had a fault and all, but the new one has been working flawlessly and they had great customer service to back up their product which should mean a lot to you, the consumer. I was not bribed, coerced, or paid by YesWelder to do this review, this is a 100% authentic review made on my own accord.

Great welder
Spent about 4-5 hours on this unit as a beginner MiG welder and I cannot recommend any more, the settings are very intuitive and well worth the money
