The size description is wrong, it’s not small but large. I was expecting a compact size inverter. The packaging was also damaged, but I didn’t think it would’ve contributed to it’s defect.

I purchased this unit/model at Pep Boys almost 5 years ago. It has been a great power inverter, as my family takes several road trips every year for camping and youth competitive soccer tournaments.I thought my unit quit working altogether, but found the power cord was the only thing that had gone bad. I couldn't find a replacement that was reasonably-priced, so I decided surely there must be newer power inverters that would come with 2-usb ports, and 3 outlets @ 400-500 watts, comparably priced. Wrong!Everything available at the stores were ridiculously priced, so I went back to Amazon, and found my original unit! My daughter usually has a friend and my wife always brings her laptop - and all of us have mobile phones - that usually need to be charged - so we use both USB ports every time we travel.It's a great power inverter and I recommend it for road trips and camping trips.

Product came in on time .was in new condition .as promised .with no problems .good job would use them again .

Had this wired directly to two golf cart batteries and it would draw 40 amps plus on the charging leg of my 7 pin rv plug and reset my auto trip breaker, and show low voltage. Batteries were new, topped off and the low volt beep would go off anytime any power was used. The batteries should never draw more than 40 amps while constant charge to run 1.5 cu ft mini fridge that was new. Was running a small mini fridge that will run off a 1000 watt inverter. Was on the second day of 14,000 road trip.... Amazon refunded money due to 2 months on the road before returning home, the seller refused due to wanting item back.I as most people, do not carry the box to my inverter, Amazon made it right. Thank You.Purchased one from auto store, same style and model, not a bit of problems, beside the $75 higher price. No clue, what was wrong with the first one.Maybe my luck and others, roll the dice, but went back to a 20 amp auto trip breaker for rest of the trip with no issues. Maybe there is a bad batch? No idea but at least test for several days if not longer if you are installing and then taking a road trip.

This has been really great, seems like a lot of people have had issues with it, i just try to keep the usage low voltage. no issues thus far, I wouldnt suggest using the cig lighter to power something with a decent power drain, the longer the wiring and the longer the electricity has to travel the hotter this will get, i run two usb lights and charge my laptop, use my glue gun, and run a small heater with this, zero problems, it is wired five inches from the battery. I really like mine i may buy a second for my window solar unit.

I'm knocking off two stars because my showed up dirty and old-looking. When I got it, the plastic packaging was yellowed like it had been sitting in storage for years. Sure enough, the manufacture date was 5 years before I purchased it. The packaging itself wasn't a big deal but the black rubber that you can see on all sides of it was filthy and turning white. It's like this thing sat in a nasty warehouse for years before they packaged it and then let it sit there for years more. However, this little guy works great for powering items that don't have a DC plug. We use this when we go camping to blow up our air mattress. The cord length is very long which makes it nice for camping and tailgating. It runs quietly. Even while using it to inflate a queen-size air bed, the fan never kicked on. The only problem with it is that it has a very loud, annoying beep when using it without the vehicle running. I'm definitely not a fan of that noise but I suspect some people would need a mechanism like that or would forget about it and kill their battery. For the price, it's a good product. However, it would be even better if they weren't selling ancient models that are filthier than anything else in my garage.
