fantastic coat; note caveats
I love, and recommend, this coat. It is well made and fits as advertised (a little large). As several other reviews mention, it is designed to fit over a suit; I wear a 40R (UK) perfectly, and this 38R fits generously over my suit--even with the liner.Too bad it is made in China, but I guess you can't get away from that anymore. Two caveats:1. The color IS AS ADVERTISED--at least the coat that I received. I wanted the darker green-brown highlighted in the customer review "Great coat, but the picture depicting the color of "British Khaki" is wrong. Buy the coat anyway!" The coat that I received was EXACTLY what was advertised, exactly what the gentleman in the MIDDLE of the picture, not the left, wore. I would call this coyote brown or dark tan. Nonetheless, I like it.2. The belt, as others have mentioned, is basically only cosmetic. It is functional, but so lightly constructed as to not retain its sturdy shape...and it takes a minute to buckle. I just took it off.

Very surprised!
This raincoat is classic and cool and you cannot beat the price. I had been looking at Burberry and other pricey ($2000 bucks!) raincoats, and then I saw this one at Amazon. I remembered my musician Dad had a London Fog he wore for years to gigs and I always thought he looked cool in it. So I got one and it's great. The zip in/out lining makes it toasty warm, too. It's well-made and fits perfectly. I am very happy with it and I can be a real snob about clothing.

London Fog for a great price!
This is a classic London Fog trench coat at an incredible price. It has a zip-in & zip-out liner so I can wear it back East, or leave it out for typical California days. It even has a button on winter collar to make chilly trips more comfortable. I got the green color which goes well with most of my clothes, and the coat has a timeless style that will serve me many years.I consider this Amazon purchase to be a real FIND, and I am very pleased with the coat!

Great coat, but the picture depicting the color of "British Khaki" is wrong. Buy the coat anyway!
Marvelous construction, proper fit, and sturdy hardware. The only thing you should be cautious of is the color of the British Khaki. The photo online (as it appears on my Retina display) shows it as more of a tan/camel brown. In reality, it is much closer to the dark brown seen on World War I military uniforms (hence the name: British Khaki"). It's a great coat, I love it, and you should grab this steal of a deal while you can! Here's a link to a picture showing the proper color of the coat. Look at Lord Grantham's uniform on the far left.http://www.henrymakow.com/upload_images/downton-abbey-pic-itv-582542411.jpg

so am glad to have the extra room
Was not able to find a London Fog trench coat anywhere, except on Amazon, so that was the first positive! The size is what I requested, and though plenty roomy, prefer that over too constricting. I always wear suit coats, so am glad to have the extra room. The color is more brown than beige, but that is another positive. My wife made me toss out the beige ones I had worn for years, so is great to have a new color. The zip-out liner is another positive, is a smooth quilt type, which makes it easy to slip on (have trouble with flannel liners in coats). The pockets are very roomy, just like I'm used to, and I like the removable wool collar, which I did not have with the other trench coats I owned. The belt is plenty long but I can wear either as regular or tied--looks great either way. Last, but not least, the shipping time was extremely fast, and with regular shipping fees too. This is a Christmas present from my wife and she is especially thrilled to see me wearing such a fine dressy coat this winter. Thank you!!

Great, Traditional Trench Coat
Looks great, keeps weather out, and the liner is very warm. The belt is good, more than enough notches and looks good using either the buckle or tying it. The storm flap is there, although the way it's designed I'm not confident it would really keep any additional water out. The removable collar does a great job of keeping the wind off you while keeping your neck warm.My only gripe is the wrist straps. The tightest notch on the straps won't shrink the sleeves at all. It's not a big deal, but it would have been nice is the wrist straps were functional as well as part of the style.

So far so pleased
My coat just arrived so I can't speak about durability, but first impressions are very favorable. I'm always leery about sizing when I order clothes online, but following the suggestions I read in other reviews I ordered the same size as my other trenchcoat (a different brand). My new coat fits exactly like my other one does. Very pleased!

Great Trench Coat
I love this trench coat!! Great style and color. I would call it a true fit for wearing over a suit - I wear a 42R suit and the 42R Trench Coat is spot on.

Wonderful coat, loose buttons.
A wonderful coat. Warm and waterproof. The material is a very fine corduroy. As other reviewers have noted, the buttons are not stitched on very well which is a shame. Unrelated to the garment itself, It's very strange how there is such a price discrepancy between the various sizes.

Amazing!!!!
Between the size chart and previous customer reviews, I agree the sizing is a bit large. I personally like the oversized look so I can wear a sweater underneath. The quality is excellent and I love that the inside liner is removable. It will work for all seasons.

Seems excellent when I received in June
Seems excellent when I received in June; appears suitable for wet and chilly weather, perhaps down to - 5 Celsius or 20 F. Not likely suitable for very cold weather. Likely better to bring an umbrella for heavy rains. I will put to the test in the November in Kyrgyzstan.

The size indicated is bang on.
I'm 6'2" and weigh 240 lbs, I ordered the 50 inch chest and I'm finally happy with the fit. I don't think I'll ever order another Chinese made piece of clothing. It's always too small. London Fog makes great trench coats, this one is no exception. I highly recommend it.

Perfect for Canadian Winters
This Trench coat is replacing a 20 year old Burberry Trench. It is longer than most dress coats which is important in our Canadian winters. It is also very stylish; I receive many compliments and questions about it. The fit is perfect and the price is right. I'd love a Burberry but who can afford one these days?
