I tried multiple options for a good indoor foam basketball. This is hands down the best one. Whereas the others get delivered shrink wrapped with the promise that they will take the proper shape after a couple of days (they don’t), this one comes fully formed in a large box. The ball bounces true as a result. Can’t speak to the durability yet, but the fact that it bounces properly already makes it better than the others I’ve tested .

Talk about quiet. This basketball is exactly as described. My son dribbles around the house constantly and doesn’t bother anyone. The ball bounces and plays very similar to a traditional basketball. The foam basketball does not bounce. To get the ball to bounce at even 70% height you have to use a substantial amount of force with each dribble. It is not like playing with a regular basketball at that point, it is legitimately like throwing a ball full force at the ground every time for it to even make it back to your palm.And when you are using that much force on the ball just to make it bounce poorly, physics dictates that unless there’s been a breakthrough in new materials with magical sound properties, there is going to cause an equally forceful sound. Basically when it bounces as high as a basketball, it was making close to or as much noise as a regular basketball.If you are looking for a replacement for a basketball that dribbles softly, this is not the product for you.If you want a rough foam ball that has no coating and a paint job to look like a basketball, this is the product for you.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I picked this particular ball because it came fully shaped and ready to use. My basketball-fanatic kids played a lot with the ball indoors and my ears were thankful. After a few months though all ball markings disappeared and the surface became rougher. These days it rests mostly unused. But we all enjoyed the meantime.

Perfect for indoor practice. We live on the 2nd floor so our awesome neighbors thanked us for my boys gift lol. It's as close to silent as you can get.
