Why did you pick this product vs others?:We recently got Milo he’s a cotón de tulear we got him from his previous owner and he was completely matted. He’s a year old and has never been groomed. We tried taking him to a groomer and they told us they wouldn’t be able to groom him because of how badly matted Milo was. And they advised us to go to a vet so they can groom him. So that’s what we did and when we picked him up they said he did so well but he has some cuts here and there just to take him a cool bath. So that’s what I did but he was so uncomfortable and i realized he had more than just a few cute he even has a rash on his lower back side. So immediately went on Amazon. And I saw this soothing balm ordered same day shipping, rubbed it on his rash and cuts and my Milo was able to sleep throughout the night.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Both our dogs were biting right above their tails, for hours each day. One had a rash. No idea why. Something to do with heat. We tried many things. This was just another product to try. They were suffering. We made an appointment to take them both to the vet... and then this stuff worked. I applied it a couple times a day at first. After a couple days the itching and biting stopped. So grateful. So are Peanut and Penny. Peanut, especially, has been more social and loving.

The scent is lovely, and not too strong. My 3 dogs didn't back away from it, and I applied some on one's elbow callus, and some on another's lick granuloma from grass allergy. Neither dog licked it off. However, the 3rd boy decided to slurp the tin before I got the lid on, so it can't smell that strong to them. Hoping for a softer elbow and a reduction/correction of the lick granuloma. Giving 4 stars as I like the texture, how it goes on, and the scent did not bother my boys. Can't give 5 as I haven't seen how it works for the boys yet.

I have a chihuahua with very sensitive skin. This stuff is amazing. The directions say keep the dog distracted so they don't lick ot off. This is so true. The dogs love the taste. It clears up the redness immediately and stops the itching almost as fast. It is also not messy. There isn't any buildup and does not transfer to fabric of your furniture or bed.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:It was cheaper and I know why I guess I didn't read enough to see it was the size of a chap stick and haven't seen any positive results yet and probably because there wasn't enough of it

Works amazing on my fur-baby's belly and legs. He is disabled so drags himself when not in his wheelchair. Helps soften is skin and with the redness from dragging himself across carpet. The smell isn't bad but it does feel a little greasy. My baby boy likes and and falls asleep when I apply it

Why did you pick this product vs others?:This product worked like magic on my dog's hot spots! I was surprised at how fast it worked too. It cleared up his redness very quickly. It's easy to apply, not messy, doesn't smell bad, and most importantly, it actually works! I definitely recommend this.

My beloved dog has really bad allergies, and she loves to run in the woods, tall grass, and loves to lay down in all of that to cool off.Unfortunately, when she does, she pays the price the next day as she develops hot spots - and the noise level from her licking incessantly all night is disturbing to say the least.I don't have a problem bathing her, applying the multiple layers of tick preventative, heart worm medicine, and giving medications to prevent her from developing allergies; but what's really nice about this product is the ease of use - I literally just rub it on to her skin/hair and it works really well. It doesn't bother her, and she apparently thinks I am just petting or brushing her.The durability of applying it prior to allows me and her to relax and not have to suffer the consequences of her actions. She seems unphased by it, as it apparently has no taste to it, or if it does it doesn't bother her to the point she feels she has to constantly lick it off (a problem I have had with other treatments).I now keep three of these with me; one in my truck in case she comes with me, and I forget the other two, one that is in my travel trailer, and the other at home if she starts up.The dispenser is of good quality - it doesn't feel like it's going to fall apart, nor do I worry that the whole tube of balm is going to crack off when applying like a cheap deodorant roller for humans.
