They did their job perfectly
We've just had our first heavy snow of the winter, and my first opportunity to try out these crampons. They work beautifully. I've now tried them with loose snow, compacted snow and snow-covered ice, both with boots and with ordinary shoes.. In all cases, they did their job perfectly. I could walk at my normal pace, with no risk of sliding around. They are very easy slip on and off, and have an added bonus that, by providing a small separation between the sole of your boot and the snow, they keep your feet very slightly warmer than they would otherwise be.Be aware that they are made of thin rubber, which will probably perish after a year or two. That doesn't bother me. Given their low price, I will happily buy another pair when the time comes.Keep in mind too that they are not particularly comfortable when walking on an ordinary firm surface - that is, where there is no snow or ice. If your walk involves a mixture of cleared paths and snowy ones, you will probably want to take them off when you reach the snow-free parts. Fortunately, that's easy to do. You don't need to take your boots off to put the crampons on or off.In summary, I'm very pleased with this purchase. I just wish I had found them years ago.

Cheap solution to a slippery problem
Needed for a trip to one of the Nordic countries. It's a good solution to a short term problem of not wanting to buy a pair of winter snow boots. If the footpaths are clear, than you really want to be taking them off. However on the snow and ice they come into their own and you can walk with confidence. Easy to get on, although being rubber, your going to need to be sitting somewhere as you cannot slip then on with one hand. Even in the UK, they will be worth the purchase on those days where we get enough snow.

Make you feel much more confident in the ice
These work a dream, was really grateful for them in the snow and ice last winter, make you feel very confident. We have a pair each now. If I went out with them on I kept them on all the time even in shop but on some floors they are quite slippy and may well damage floors. They are a tight fit over your shoe so I found I couldn’t take them off standing up on one leg so had to sit down. Well worth it.

These have been very useful during snow and ice this week, but can really only be used on shoes with a flat sole. My shoes have a slight cut out before the heel and the back section sits at that part. Other than they they have been great.
