ZTE ZMAX PRO Z981 4G LTE 13MP Smartphone (Metro PCS/T-Mobile)

Took it to metro store. they sold me a sim card and made me pay to change from another phone. Before I walked out I insisted that I wanted to test it. DId not work. Would not connect to the network. NO REFUNDS !!!! They thought it was the phone. Called customer service from the store and they were able to unlock the phone and do some other things so that it worked. The phone and seller are great ! Metro stores? not that great.

The battery on the phone dies super fast and it does not always hook up to data. The phone glitches a lot. The other phone I got (same one) isn’t as bad with small to no issues. But the other is not very good

Phone was amazing, I am a cheap phone buyer always (as opposed to an iPhone or whatever) and I love this phone. The fingerprint sensor is amazing, it has so much storage for the price, and it's so big. 10/10. On top of everything this seller is great. This is a Metro PCS phone and will only work on Metro PCS network. In case you were wondering, it will not work on T-Mobile so don't be stupid like me and buy it if that's what you're looking for. It can't be unlocked unless you have Metro PCS. On the bright side, this seller was amazing, they refunded me my money no sweat and are fantastic. Will be buying this phone for my network!

Decent phone. I only paid $143, then the price skyrocketed the very next day!. Supply and demand I guess.Better than my older 3G phone. My son had the exact same phone, so when I needed to upgrade my old phone I ordered this because Metro PCS was pushing their newer ZTE phone (Blaze?) with a slower processor! Now the only ZTE phone Metro PCS has is the ZTE Avid 4.Unfortunately the Zmax Pro Z981 doesn't support On-The-Go (OTG) features. I can live without them, but I hoped to use it as a GPS screen with my Icom IC-2820H mobile D-Star ham radio.Also with the new Android versions (mine has Android version 6.0.1), you can't install apps to the SD card like my old phone, supposedly for "security" reasons (yeah right), so even if the SD card has tons of room, the phone only uses the internal RAM for storing software and fills up fast.The camera is pretty good.Battery life is short if you play games or listen to music/watch videos on Youtube, maybe 4-6 hours without a charge... I just keep mine plugged in all the time. Use a 2 Ampere charger (or larger), not a 1 Ampere charger, or it will hardly charge during use.

I loved my phone! was having a hard time replacing my ZTE yes I like them and they are no longer available new on Metro.it came sooner than expected in pristine condition and I am very happy. the price was beyond reasonable. the battery life is what it is I've had about 5 of these ZTEs great phones real warriors but battery was always an issue on all of them but they take beautiful pictures with the dual camera and huge screen is perfect for my games and movie watching which is what I use my phones for the most. thank you for sending me a great phone definitely a great purchase.

After doing a lot of research before deciding to buy this because of all the positive reviews, I'm happy I decided to purchase this phone. It's got a big screen, it's fast, easy to use, has lots of memory and an awesome camera. I always seem to have a hard time with phones and this is the first one I've ever owned that I didn't.

I was in service today couldn’t get the phone to turn off then it would just light up out of nowhere. Just keep light note won’t turn off.

So far the phone is great, that said I've only had it a few days. It has a good size screen, good looking display, decent sound and the phone is working properly. I don't like the fact that it has a different charger than my last ZTE, so all my old chargers (the same charger that most android phones use) are now worthless. I also don't like how Amazon is selling it for 150 bucks when you can get it at a Metro PCS Store for 99 bucks. I'll update the review later after I've used the phone for a while.UPDATE: This phone has a horrible battery life. Also, there is a problem with the default texting program which sends and receives texts multiple times. If you have this problem, download Google Text Messenger and use it as your default text program. The other problem I have is that I can't completely disable notification sounds when I'm listening to music.
