I didn't know that this product lightens scars. I was bitten by a mastiff "puppy" on my thigh last summer. Big scar and uneven skin prompted me to try PanOxyl. Immediately I noticed it disappearing. After 3 weeks almost completely gone. Doesn'tmake sense but does great job on acne too.

Doesn't foam, lotion-like.
I hate the reformulated version. It does not foam at all btw, its like rubbing lotion on yourself. I got it again because I need the benzoyl peroxide type, but I'm hunting for a new brand that foams too, so, not reccomended.

I miss the old formula.
New formula is designed to use more and sell more product as its much thinner than it used to be. I also think because of this it becomes diluted and less effective.
