Q: How high is the food chute? Will it hold an entire length of zucchini or a carrot? And is the motor in the food pusher or in the base unit?

The food chute height isn't the issue, it is the width. You pretty much have to carve some vegetables down to size to use it. I bought it because I have a bad hand and it is hard to do beets and hard vegetables on the Paderno hand crank spiralizer. This one works well for that purpose but the small tube limits its usefulness and I find myself using the Paderno most of the time. The motor is in the base.

Q: are the blades stainless steel?

I couldn't tell by looking at the blades, and there wasn't any evidence of this is the booklet.

Q: What dust cover will fit this?

I am not sure I would look at the specifications and look at the brand online to see what should fit.

Q: How do you clean zucchini out of the wheel that is in the base?

You just tear this apart and clean everything. There was no problem cleaning. I love this machine!! Time saver!!!!
