Ice Pack for Back Pain Relief, 2 Hours Long Lasting Coldness Ice & Compression Therapy Flexible Lower Back Ice Pack for Lumbar Surgery, Sciatica, Coccyx Pain

Easy to use.

I was quite impressed with the Comfpack Ice Pack for Back. It’s well designed and appears to be nicely made. Instead of one large “sheet” of enclosed ice, it’s composed of multiple little ice cube shapes. These allow the pack to hug the contours of the body better. The ice pack is held into place with a large, strong, securing Velcro strap. A secondary strap allows you to add some compression along with the ice. The pack looks like it would comfortably accommodate a waist size of about 40 inches. I’m sure it would work for larger waists with an extension strap as a “hook” type strap would attach anywhere to the exterior of the ice-pack since it’s made from the fuzzy “loop” material found in Velcro. The user would have to provide their own though as an extension strap is not supplied.This ice-pack holds its chill for a very long time. I put it in the freezer overnight and took it out for use the next day. (A bag is provided for freezer storage. The bag is the least impressive thing about this. It gets the job done, but it’s thin, not sturdy, and barely large enough for the ice-pack.) Some of the ice-pack was still partially frozen over two and a half hours later. The cold from this thing is intense. I didn’t have it next to my skin, I used it over a T-shirt. I still felt the cold strongly, so much so that I had to take frequent breaks from it. I used it on my lower back this time, but the design makes it great for other body parts too. I often have problems with my right shoulder blade. This pack can strap on that area too when I’m experiencing inflammation. The straps will hold it in place so I don’t have to sit still why using an ice pack. I like that.I’m very pleased with this ice pack. I wish I didn’t need something like this, but since I do, I’m happy to have found such a good quality ice-pack with such a nice design.****About me: Integrity is very important to me. This is pretty much what you would expect as you wrap a strap around you I believe it is a VELCRO strap and fits GREAT. You simply stick it in the freezer a while and when done pull it out and wrap it around you. The issue I have ultimately with it is if you leave it in TOO LONG the back parts get kind of blocky and if you're laying against it, it CAN get a bit uncomfortable but not overbearing or anything. Quality wise its pretty good but I feel over time the strap will wear down being in the freezer and ice forming on it can create some issues with the strap not working down the line but SO FAR its been holding up well so I am excited to have it and use it!

This ice pack is really nice. It’s large enough to fit around me comfortably for back pain relief, but I like that you can tighten it up quite a bit and was able to even use it on my arm. It is a little heavy considering how many packets of water/ice there are on it but that is to be expected. The freezer bag included it’s nice also, I like that it prevents food from getting on the ice pack and helps keep it clean. It is priced right in my opinion, I think it’s worth every penny! I definitely recommend this if you have back pain or really and muscle pain.

DO NOT PURCHASE. I used it for about two weeks or so with no problems. After that, I realized at one point that the inside of the belt was staining my shirts. I took it to the dry cleaner to see if they could remove the stains and was told that it looks like ink and they may not be able to get it out. Now I’ve lost 2 high quality white shirts because they were ruined by this product. I had to give it one star to post the review but in reality, it’s worth no stars.

does not cold enough to numb pain. lasted 90 minuets

I've had lower back pain for at least the last 40 years (I'm 72). I've never tried cold therapy before, I've always used heat and red light therapies. With this cold therapy belt I put the belt, in the included bag, in the freezer overnight. The following evening I strapped it on over a light weight t-shirt and sat down in my reclining chair. I left it on a bit longer than the recommended max of 20 minutes. It clearly helped with the pain but I definitely left it on too long as my back was pretty cold and actually numb. My wife, the RN, scolded me for not following the directions. At any rate, the belt definitely helped, on a temporary basis, with my pain but leaving it on for more than 20 was a mistake that I won't repeat. I'm a pretty big guy and the belt just barely fit. It would be nice if the vendor would include an extension Velcro strap for larger people. I have an additional strap from a back brace that worked well. My guess would be that the belt, as is, would be good for somebody with a max of a 40" waist. Only comes in one size which is unfortunate but can be easily overcome. Works great if you follow the instructions. I now keep it in the freezer for use when needed. Highly recommended. Oh, and it is comfortable to wear, the material isn't too stiff or too scratchy.

This is great for back pain. It’s so easy to use. Simply place in freezer safe bag for a while, take out, belt around you. Super simple to use. I love the freezer bag so that no smells permeate the belt. Size is good for just about all. Not too heavy to walk around wearing for short periods of time. Best back ice support I’ve used
