Always have enjoyed Smith sunglasses
Always have enjoyed Smith sunglasses. Having worked in the ski industry, motor cycle riding enthusiast, and outdoor recreation, these stand the test of time. Great optics as I love great glasses having Persol, Oakley, Revo, and glasses with Zeiss lens, and these are their equal in many ways. Not sure if they will take shot gun blasts like the Oakleys, but they protect my eyes, and the ability to change the lens makes them so versatile. This is my 7th pair of Smiths....just wanted an update for the Slider 1's and Sliders I have...and great customer service. I had a frame crack years ago on a pair of Smiths, they replaced them at no cost....over a year after I purchased them! They stand behind their product with amazing warranties!

A few minor issues, but still love them
My first pair of good sunglasses. The optical clarity is amazing, the lenses (polarized platinum) have a slight green tint to them, which I prefer over blue or brown tints because it looks more natural to me. The colors around you are much brighter when wearing these glasses. The frame is very comfortable for me, I like the adjustable nosepiece. I've forgotten that I'm wearing them sometimes. The polarized platinum lenses are mirrored on the outside, but they are not extreme. People are not going to easily be able to see your eyes when you're wearing these. I've used the clear lenses as safety glasses whem I'm climbing or sawing something, just because these are so much more comfortable than any other goggles I have. The rose (ignitor) colored lenses I haven't used much yet, but I like them much better than the orange lenses often included with shooting glasses, the rose seems much easier on the eye. Don't know if it increases contrast quite as much though, haven't done alot of testing on that. I've used them for skiing on a cloudy day, which worked well, but they did fog up pretty quickly because I had a had a gaiter over my nose which directed my breath under the lenses. The glasses come with a very nice microfiber bag, which unfortunately I lost. It is not the super thin type, which is why I felt confident keeping it in my jacket pocket in only the pouch. It also comes with a semi-hard case, which doesn’t really feel cheap, but it doesn't feel like it's great quality either. There is a velcro-in pouch for the spare lenses, which also come in plastic bags, and I really like the idea of being able to take them out quickly and still having them protected. Good job on that. I like the square shape of the case as it facilitates packing, but I have since replaced it with a WileyX case that I found at a thrift shop. There is nothing functionally wrong with the Smith's case, and it looks very nice with the fake carbon fiber look, but the WileyX is just better for my needs, being more durable, MOLLE compatible and having a hook on the outside. One complaint I do have about the glasses themselves is that there is quite a big gap between your forehead and the frame, which can sometimes be a problem letting a lot of sun through. This could also just be my head shape's fault. Of course this makes them very comfortable because there is no rub and there is some airflow.Because the case could be much better and because of the frame gap I am giving only four stars, but those are pretty small issues for me and I absolutely love these.

Great sunglasses
I've had these sunglasses for about 3 months and no complaints. I specifically bought them for workouts and trail use and no complaints as to their durability so far. The 3 lens combo (gray, rose, clear) cover most all lighting situations and are easy to swap out. My only complaint would be that my personal preference is for a yellow lens (instead of rose), but this is not a major deal.

Nice glasses as great price!
Got these at around 70$ which is 1/2 what they often sell for. Replacing some lost Maui Jims, and these blow the Mauis out of the water. Great vision and love the extra colored lenses that came for free!

The lenses reflect back into my eyes the shadow of my eyes making it distort the vision.

Great pair of riding glasses
I bought these to replace an old pair that is way out of style. These are comfortable and stay on well when I am sweating. The clarity with them on is better than with them off. I only received two lenses instead of three. The listing implied that there would be three. I decided to keep them instead of returning them. I have yet to use the purple lenses. The main lenses are a little dark when the sun drops below the trees. The case is nice, but the zipper seems a little flimsy.

Great value - Very happy with this purchase
I love these! I only bought them because I lost my Smith parallels recently. I wore those for 3 or 4 years and wanted to stick with Smiths. They are slightly heavier than the parallels but very comfortable and the 3 sets of lenses are very similar shades. I like the larger lenses a lot. I don't get the bits of glare on the bottom and periphery while biking like I did with the smaller lenses in the parallels. The adjustable nose pieces are a really cool feature too. The case it comes with is nice and the obnoxiously bright frame color is also obviously a must.
