First Impressions For Those On The Fence (Bluetooth 4.2 + 4GB MP3)
Great sounding audio both through Bluetooth and built-in storage and it seems like a nicely made product.PROS:• Both Bluetooth and built-in audio playback sound great.• Easy drag-n-drop to storage device• Creative app allows choosing between built-in storage or Bluetooth and also can play iTunes Music within the app• They sit well in my ear with the "wings" and sound is much better than hard-wired earbuds without the "wings"• The materials are of good quality.CONS:• Possibly not compatible with your codec of choice such as m4a• I'm concerned that the tiny cable holding both earbuds will break too soon. It just looks a little weak but I'll just have to see.• I have not tried to work create playlists yet, I'm not sure of it's ease of use• No opinion about battery life yetI'm using an iPhone SE with Bluetooth 4.2, your results may vary. I was concerned about the quality of the Bluetooth would sound flat, concerned there wasn't any AptX logo, but I'm satisfied with quality of the audio and quality of the materials in this Creative product.I will try to update this with good & bad experiences with this thing.

Legendary Creative Labs quality.
I have other Bluetooth headphones. A pair of over-the-ear headphones that I use for casual television use and a pair of lightweight on-the-ear headphones for doing chores around the house without bothering my wife. I bought the Creative Outlier ONE Plus headphones because I needed a quality bluetooth in-the-air headphone to use when outdoors, like walking to the park or when camping. I have trusted the quality of Creative Labs products since the early days of their Sound Blaster line of computer audio products. My recent purchases from them includes the really great SB Roar 2 bluetooth speaker and the equally great Sound Blaster E1 portable headphone amplifier. So far the Outlier ONE Plus have lived up to my high expectations. The most use I have given these is for laying in bed a night listening to my Audible books or watching streaming networks and YouTube. They’re comfortable, with different-sized ear cushions for a good fit. Unlike the wired plug-in earbuds I used for this purpose previously, these are untethered, so when I fall asleep with them on, I don’t roll over and drag my phone or tablet with me. The build quality is very good. I don’t worry about breaking them when they fall off when I’m asleep. Also, they are plenty load. As with any bluetooth audio device, you need to turn the volume up on your device to a nominal level, which normally is three-quarters of the available volume level. This so the amplifier of the bluetooth headphones or speakers gets a loud but clean audio level. No distortion. One reason is that if you turn up the volume of the headphones to compensate for low volume on your phone, the headphones will use more amplifier power, which means a shorter battery life. These deliver reasonable volume, for sure. I have not used the onboard MP3 music option yet, mainly because I have super-high quality headphones for that use (used with the Sound Blaster E1 amp). So, yes, I would obviously recommend these. They are a lot of headphone for the money. Really, you can’t go wrong buying any Creative Labs products. As a company, they are still here, after all these years, for a good reason. Quality and value. And no, Creative is not paying me for the accolades. Those they have earned from my use all these years.

Decent sound but bad build of the hardware
1) no magnetic backs to keep the headphones from falling off the neck when not in use.2) the volume hub just below the right head phone is heavy, dragging the rest of the wire to the right. Constantly having to adjust.3) gives only 3 hours of battery and doesn't charge a 100%. After removing from a full charge the battery drops to 90% in less than a minute.

Wow what a year it's been.
Being that it is a Creative product, I expect very high quality and they delivered.I don't have a crap ton of music, so for me having 4 gigs is almost overkill, hence the perfect amount. The fit is very nice, they don't slip out of my ears, controls are minimal and easy to figure out.Sound quality is even better than I had expected, good deep bass, mids are in just the right range so as to not sound like a tin can or an old transistor radio, and the highs are nicely toned. The only thing I have a complaint about is with the length of cabling between the earbuds themselves, I would like to see them be about 3 inches longer due to the fact that when your head moves the cord tends to slide to one side or the other and restricting movement, making you need to readjust the cable, the additional alligator clip doesn't work effectively due to shortness of the cord.If you were wearing a high neck shirt then the clip would be fine, but with a t-shirt it becomes problematic.

Not sweatproof, at all.
I really wanted to like these headphones. Nice sound, built-in Mp3 player, integrated app support with battery life, comfortable. Sure the backs don't magnetically stick together like others, but that is minor. They lasted 1.5 weeks. Like maybe 25 miles of running. They cut off once at mile 3 on a run and came back on when I mashed the power button with my pudgy finger. Two days later (today), at mile 2 of a dry weather run they shut off again. No warning, no nothing. Just like last time. Except this time they won't turn back on. Nor will they charge. Perfect. I wasn't even that sweaty yet as it was only like 80 degrees out.I think these and the BeSport3's I had all share a similar flaw. The control casing is either not sealed adequately, the solder connections aren't robust enough to withstand running or both. At least my BeSports lasted six months. Sorry Creative, I love your products, but you erred too much on the side of small form factor versus sturdy connection and/or weather sealing. One star, going with a different brand and form factor with no dangly remote.

Me impresionaron

Great Bluetooth headphones for the money....
I took the plunge to go without a plugged in pair of headphones after upgrading my old iPhone, I didn’t want to use a dongle so started to look into wireless. I normally do quite a bit of research before I decide, and there are a lot of bluetooth headphones out there so the choice is overwhelming, not knowing what to expect in terms of sound quality and not having many references or places to listen personally, I didn’t want to spend a lot of money and making a mistake. A lot of ‘true’ wireless headphones were rated unreliable in terms of connectivity, and relatively expensive (£100 plus) for a decent pair, which didn’t give me too much confidence about the technology. So I decided on looking at earbuds that were still tethered together with the main reasons being longer battery life and the form factor making them easy to find when not in use and of course cheaper in comparison to the ‘decent sounding’ true wireless options. There is a YouTube clip of these being unboxed and this persuaded me to buy in the end. It’s taken me 2 months to write this review as I wanted to see how well they’d hold up with some use.Out of the box, the build quality is very good, I was pleasantly surprised, there’s a few fixings that allow you to find the best fit, I would add that once they fit, and although they are snug and point into your ears, it doesn’t totally block out any loud background noises , so you will still hear a small amount of what’s going on around you (think noisy gym etc) if there’s music playing then this isnt too much of an issue, note it’s not a noise cancelling earbud so this isn’t something to complain about, just something I thought i’d mention. The sound is pretty much spot on for me, I am definitely not an audiophile, but the music that is piped out is enjoyable and clear, and it’s enough for what I need, namely on the train to work, going to the gym and out running. The only gripe here is that the right side of the wire that holds the control block doesn’t look too heavy, but tends to weigh down the wire more towards the right side and does end up eventually pulling on the left earbud, there is a clip that can be used to hold the wire in place against your t shirt/ shirt collar but this doesn’t hold the wire firmly enough, so it still ends up all over to the right side, it’s an annoyance but for the price really a very small thing to me which I can live with.On the plus side, the mp3 facility is great, easy to connect to pc, drag and drop, the app to view what’s stored on there is handy too. I have found the battery life to be fairly accurate according to the manufacturer website, i’ve managed about 4 hours using Bluetooth and about 8 hours on mp3. All in all, there are much more pros than cons, and after 2 months use i’m still using them.

Remember to switch them off!
Firstly, let me say it was an easy choice to go with Creative for sound equipment. I still have my Zen Touch mp3 player from 11+ years ago and it's still in perfect working order. The speakers on my PC are even older and are still going strong! To the headphones. I'll split the review into pros and cons.Pros; The sound quality is fantastic! Seriously, I've started listening to albums again that I haven't played in ages as I keep hearing elements of the music I'd not heard before. I'm of an age where my hearing isn't what it was so this was a big and very welcome surprise. The noise cancellation is among the best I've experienced. I can play music at a lower volume than before and still have outside noise not be an issue. This is actually just as well for for a reason I will go into later. The earpieces are comfortable. I have quite small ears but they fit well. I haven't had the opportunity to wear them for an extended period but I feel they will be fine.Cons; The biggest con is that the headphones don't appear to switch themselves off. I'm not sure if this is standard in blue tooth headphones; I certainly have a single earpiece that will switch itself off if it detects non-use for a certain amount of time. I wonder if this feature (or lack thereof) is what is causing reports of poor battery life. I certainly had an instance of listening to music while shopping only to have them beep and switch off as the battery had drained. Switching them off completely after use is a must. They connect again quickly enough when you switch them back on.The instructions that come in the box are inadequate, to say the least, proven by the additional information given on the item page. When I connected them to my pc to transfer files for the built-in mp3 player they were not detected by Windows 10 until I updated the firmware, something I would not have even known about if it wasn't for another review. I didn't even know if the firmware update was working until Windows suddenly recognised the headphones after it finished. Maybe that was just me but it was annoying. Clearer instructions with more detail would have prevented that. The maximum volume isn't as high as I would ideally like. As I said in the pros section, the noise cancellation more or less makes up for that but the player I have it connected to (Pioneer XDP100R) has a maximum volume setting of 160. With the wired headphones I was using previously, I had the volume set at 146 and it was plenty loud enough. With this set, I have to have the volume set almost to full on the player to get close to that. Not a major gripe and probably better for my ears but I do like it loud!I can't speak about the app. I did download it to my Pioneer as it has android on it but, so far, I've only used it to monitor battery level. In summary, these are great headphones at a decent price. Only a couple of relatively minor gripes stopped me from giving them 5 stars across the board. I look forward to using them for years to come!
