Q: I can't decide if I need to buy them in wide. How do they fit?

i would recommend not to buy wide because the shoes have elastic on the ends of the straps, so it stretches' well. Secondly, i found the shoe to be fit to be larger than expected

Q: How high is the heel?

It's around 3, but it's a platform sandal, so it feels more like 2". Super comfortable. Love them!

Q: Is the outer "glitter" material at all rough, and if so, would pant-legs of a fine material likely catch on the shoes in a bothersome way?

The shoes I bought didn’t have glitter so I can not say if you have that problem. The issue I had is that the shoes they sent me were not new and were all broken so everything was tearing apart.
