simply a superb camera
had this camera for almost a week now, i've done a lot of indoor picture, in daylight, under bright room lamps, and in completely dark room(using flash of course). the picture quality is amazing. you'll have to tweek it a little for some extreme light condition, but you'll get the hang of it after a while. touch panel is cool, and the smile shutter is just fantastic. in-camera edit tool is great too, allowing you to edit, crop, and put some stamps and borders, and also aloow you to write notes in the picture. so far, as far as indoor picture is concerned, i am fully satisfied.

Sony Cybershot DSC T200
This is an exellent camera. My third small compact type. I enjoy the sensitivity to take pictures in darkend rooms (ISO up to 3200). My wife would always shake her camera and ruin a good shot. We would throw away over half of her shots. That has improved by 90% with the double antishake technology. The large review screen and touch features is an improvement over the last camera. Although complex to use, I have gained ability with useage on the touch screen. The battery may be a little small for all the capability, but I took 175 mixed flash photos before the battery warning came on.

Poor battery life. Poor indoor images.
I bought this camera for my father and used it for a few days. The main thing a camera is supposed to do, i.e. take pictures, it does badly. Indoor photos look very artificial, so I had to tweak the settings quite a bit for the quality to become acceptable. The other thing: the battery goes very fast. I had to buy a spare battery for him, since it wouldn't last during a day-trip.My advice: look elsewhere. Try the Canon compact cameras.

Defective file writing
Owned the DSC-T200 for a year and a half. Unfortunately, I regularly experience file errors with this camera. Approximately 1 in 20 images do not fully overwrite deleted files. This means that some new pictures are marred by horizontal bands of old pictures. I have suffered this issue off and on since purchasing the camera in November 2007, but it has become increasingly common over time as more images have been taken and deleted. Reinitializing main settings as instructed by Sony Tech Support only served to prolong my pain until the warranty period had passed. Sony's post-warranty flat repair rate is currently about $150 for parts, labor, taxes, return shipping and a 3 month warranty. On the positive side, the unaffected images are great and I love the DSC-T200's compact size. I have been connected to a real, live support person in less than 1 minute all four times that I have called Sony Tech Support

Convenient, but low quality pictures
Having always owned Cannon cameras I bought this camera as it I was looking for a simple camera that was small for my wife and kids to use. But to my shock, the pictures are very grainy and appear distorted. The colors are not natural either. I thought the camera was defective so I called customer service. They had me run all the checks and then asked me to ship it in for repair, which I did. When it came back there is no difference so I can only conclude that this camera takes sub-par pictures. Most likely this is due to the very small lens. If you want a camera for convenience and simplicity this is it, but I warn you the picture quality is very poor.

camera
i bought the camera ,because i already own the same one that i purchased about three or four years ago and was very happy with it . This past summer ,the camera started vibrating when i was shooting in hot weather . i thought the pictures were not going to come out, however they all came out great . i wanted to make sure that this would not happen on a future trip so i saw the camera on line that was used in good condition for $69 .i figured as a replacement it was a great deal ( if it worked,so far it seems to work fine)
