Go to a Dealer for $75? Nah…
The cabin air/pollen filter is any easy DIY job and going to a dealer for it is a complete waste of money. My local Audi dealer had a “special” for $79! Raise the hood, remove a trim piece (no tools required), remove the old one, put in the new one, install the trim, and forget it for a few years…

Saves Money on S4
This filter fit perfectly on my 2004 Audi S4 4.2L V-8. I'd never done this before. It took me 2 minutes to get almost everything done, but another 3 minutes for me to get that main cover back on correctly as the final step of reassembly. The filter came with instructions that were pictures only; the clarity was poor. I found it FAR more useful to watch a youtube video of someone doing it. Go on youtube and do a search for: Replace Audi A4 cabin filter. The one I watched was from AutoWerksofAmerica (there are others too); it said it applies to the B6 body style from 2002-05, and the B7 body style from 2005-08. Getting this done at my local dealer would've cost me about $115, so the savings is considerable for an easy job requiring no tools. I suggest taking a few high quality pictures BEFORE taking that first main cover off, so that AFTER reassembly you can see if it lines up the same as in your pictures.

Its short brief manual with useful pics helped me a lot
I just installed on my 06 Audi A4. Let's see how it will last. No problem found yet. I don’t expect one since it is low tech. Installation should be cake-walking as long as you know where the used one is hiding underneath the dividing insulation wall (just next to battery) and behind the engine room. You have to open the entire plastic cover which is above the used filter and battery, etc. Then be careful not to break thin plastic clips of the cover for battery. Its short brief manual with useful pics helped me a lot.

Don't put off changing the Cabin Filter, it's worth it!
Recently bought a 2003 Audi A4, when I would start the A/C there would be a musky odor that quickly went away. Other than tires, the first thing I bought to start upgrading and doing maintenance so I would know everything was up to date was this activated charcoal cabin air filter. The original filter's (cabin and engine) from 2003 were still in the car and they were disgusting. Immediately after installing this filter the odor ceased and there is a nice pleasant smell when the A/C starts now. Changing the filter was super easy and only took a couple minutes to get everything back in place nice and tight. The engine air filter is a different story and it is quite the S.O.B. to change, I'm so happy with the performance of this air filter, I'll put a new filter in every year as long as I own the car.

Easy to Install
I bought this to replace the filter in my 2005 A4 (B6). After doing some research online, it seemed like one of the best alternatives to purchasing the actual OEM part, which was roughly triple the cost. Also, I'd highly recommend springing for the charcoal infused model. It comes at a $5 premium, but the odor reduction in your cabin air is notable and well worth it.If you're at all on the fence about whether installing something like this is within your capabilities, be assured it's about as easy as it gets. Installation requires no tools or mechanical knowledge. There are also quite a few "how-to" videos on YouTube, and I was surprised to find that the filter itself actually came packaged with a picture guide for installation in an Audi.Overall, this is a great purchase for those looking to swap their cabin air filter themselves. Three months later, I'm extremely pleased with my choice in selecting it.

So fresh and so clean
You know when you go driving by farmers fields and the smell of fresh manure makes you want to cry? Well get this filter and it’ll stop about %10 of that smell. Ahhhh. No seriously though, this filter is good. Nothing can stop manure but this charcoal filter will stop some unpleasant odours from getting into your car. My old filter was well over due for a change. This one fit like a glove, as it should. If there were any gaps on the sides then unfiltered air could bypass and blow in your face. Mann products are just as good as oem.
