Not stock brand but works amazing.
This isn’t the “stock” brand that was on my suburban but I believe it is a good replacement brand that a reputable shop would use. Installation was relatively easy with the help of YouTube and it has been working now for almost 7 months. Definitely recommend.

What the dealership put in my car fro 1/3rd the price
Long story short, I ordered it after researching the part. Local ACDelco and Dealership wanted $600 for the exact part. Two day shipping and $218.00 later I installed it myself. Apparently saving myself $400 in parts and another $400 in labor. So, I thought, two months after I installed it the compressor blew up. I took it to the dealership, they would not honor the warranty, took it to the ACDelco store, wouldn't honor the warranty. Contacted AMAZON, since the 30 day window for return was gone, Amazon customer service issued a return for me and credited my account, didn't give me my money back but did give me credit. The BAD, the warranty is for a local distributor, before buying, contact them and ask if they will honor the warranty, mine didn't. But that is on me, I did however have all my recepts for renting the machine to blow and clear the lines as you should before installing a new compressor. Still didn't work for the warranty. Also the dealership told me that this was not a GM part and A?C Delco was not OEM for the a/c compressor. The dealership has a lifetime warranty on their compressor as long as you have your receipt, not labor but parts. SO after the dealership replaced it $900 additionally later, $500 for the part( discounted) and $400 in labor, I have a new ac compressor. Funny thing that happened, was the dealership told me the installed compressor wasn't GM. SO after contacting amazing and getting the authorized return, I asked the dealership to place the one I purchased which they replaced in a box. The dealership placed the amazon compressor int he dealership box, which to my surprise had an ac declo part number on it. SO I came home entered the part into Amazon, and low and behold guess what popped up. YOU ORDERED this part in MARCH 2014. STEALERSHIPS, will do anything and everything, even lie to your face.. So I called the stealership and talked to service mngr, he stated there must had be some misunderstanding with the parts guy. Anyways, I move a lot and the dealership lifetime parts warranty will follow me. I like changing my own parts and I ma mechanically inclined, but for the PITA of removing this part and time spent I should have just went straight to the dealership. Forgot to mention Amazon offered to replace or gov eke my money back, it being 100 degrees in TX already I took it to the dealership for replacement before I contacted Amazon. In a nutshell, good part, great price, warranty is good/bad but had to do a lot of research to figure it out. Would I buy again, knowing what I know now, of course I would. The Stealership will never get anymore of my money.

GM Genuine, does not equal quality in this case
Went our of our way to order the GM compressor after looking up the parts by vin on gmparts.com wanting a high quality replacement as the original unit lasted over 150k and 15+ years with regular service. This seemed like a slam dunk. System was evacuated, new filter drier, condenser and hoses were installed with the compressor to ensure a clean system and good seal. Highly disappointed and should have expected being that they only offer a 2 year warranty. While this may seem like a good deal, run away!! This will be an expensive repair to do it right (again). Do better GM.

Perfect!
Excellent! It fit perfect. It came pre oiled and my AC is ice cold!

The box, paper work, and stickers all indicate that it's genuine GM parts made by Denso.
Our mechanic shop said that the clutch on this compressor was bad, but after we returned it and paid more for another one from Advance Auto Parts, they still had to replace a relay, and charge the system.

A Bi47ch to install-works great!
Fits the vehicle--but understand that if you are doing this yourself-GMC engineers should be ...........there are 4 bolts, the top 2 are fine, the bottom two are horrendous. You need a ratcheting wrench for the front one, just hum and rock it. For the back one on the bottom, you need a 15MM swivel socket and and 3/4 swivel head socket with and extension to get this out and in--has nothing to do with the part, has to do with moronic design by GMC---works great!

Saved $500!
Did some research. The Delco cost a little more, but there weren't any 'failed in 6 months" reviews. The last A/C repair I had done cost over $1000. This time, I took a $200 compressor to a good repair shop. They installed it for $350. Ice cold air! Note: The shop will not warranty the compressor, but does stand behind their job.
