The caftan is even prettier in person. The design is elegant and the fabric is comfortable. The fit is true to size.

The fabric is lovely. The black was jet black and perfect, and the workmanship was great.BUT....Rather than seam the sides with a traditional seam, and then trim the excess fabric away, this is a solid UNCUT width of fabric. In my 4X, there was 2.5 inches worth of extra fabric on the front, and 2.5 inches of fabric on the back --or 5 inches on each side, or 10 inches over all worth of excess bulk that I could have done without. Presumably, if I had ordered a 6X, there would only be one seam at the very edge.If you are a curvy gal, search the photos until you can find the dress in a light color and take a hard look at the way it is constructed--and then decide if you will be comfortable with the bat wing effect that all this extra fabric at the seams creates.All that extra fabric was not flattering on my figure and I am sending it back.Otherwise, it was lovely.

I ordered this for my elderly mom who will be joining us on a beach vacation. It is stylish and thick enough to wear alone as a dress while lounging. The teal color is gorgeous! It was perfect length for me at 5'6 but a little long for my 5'2 mother. She washed and dried it which brought it to perefect length for her.

Or ordered 2 of these, black and blue. The fabric is luxurious and the colors are true. I have purchased several Kaftans on amazon and these are the absolute finest you can buy. I'd love one in every color if I could.

Purchased for vacation and had high hopes for a soft and flattering beach cover-up, but I am returning this very unflattering product. Honestly, it has no shape whatsoever and looks like I cut a hole in a white bed sheet and threw it on. It probably took someone a whole five minutes to sew a few seams and make this. Even if it had style, it would have been useless as a travel item due to the wrinkles in the fabric. It arrived very wrinkled and I could tell these were not wrinkles that would have simply fallen out. Putting it into a suitcase, you'd have to iron it once you arrived at your destination, and I'm certainly not going to iron a beach cover-up. The material is very soft, so if you're just going to wear it around the house and don't care what you look like, it may be an OK buy for you.

I liked the color. The material was adequate. There were a few dangling threads at the hem. I am 5' 2" tall, and the caftan was too long for me. So I gave it to my daughter who is 5' 6" tall. It was perfect for her. The seams on both sides of the caftan were about 2 inches wide. So my daughter had to take them out. She sewed the sides together which gave her an extra 4 inches. It fit perfectly. If the product had been shorter, I would have rated it 4.5 stars. I did not like the hanging threads at the hem. ALSO, the caftan is one long piece of material sewn at the sides with fringes at the edges. To modify the caftan to fit me would have cost too much. I chose to give it to my daughter. I will buy another caftan and make sure I check the length of the garment.

I just detest polyester and this Kaftan is made of the most luxurious BREATHABLE fabric. The sizes run small so I had to get a much bigger size that I wear so it would be comfortable, but I love the fabric and the colors. They also turn out nicely after gentle washing.

I'm not just plus-sized, I'm tall (5'9") and have resigned myself to wearing caftans that hit me a few inches above the ankle. This one is long enough, so shorter purchasers beware!.The fabric is lightweight but not opaque (I bought the maroon), true to the color on the webpage, and has a nice drape to it. It says hand wash but I ran it through the washer to remove any excess dye, on gentle/cold, in a large mesh lingerie bag and with a towel to balance the load. I did not put it in the dryer but hung it to dry. It came out fine, with minimal wrinkling.
