Who warranties the unit? What happens if you lose or damage it?

Thanks for your question. As long as the monthly service is active, LifeStation will replace the unit under warranty if it stops working. For loss or damage, we offer an Assurance Plan to cover those type of issues.

where does the alert go to? 911 police station?

No. It goes to a service center rep who can call 911 if you need/request it. I believe they will contact 911 if they get no response after you push the button. Remember, this unit allows you to talk with a service rep once you press the button. The unit is kind of like a cell phone which only calls the service center when the button is pushed.

How much extra does fall detection cost?

Is this transmitted through cell device or satellite? my husband is going out hiking in another state and there is no wifi or cell service. would thi?

This device ie a tiny AT&T cell phone. If there is not AT&T service where you are, it will not work. The GPS in this device only records your location when the device off and back on. It does no track you as you change locations.
