color stays, but has some cons...
LipSense (Red Cherry) has pro and cons. I'm 46 yrs old, if that helps my review.Pro: Color stays on, as long as it is "sealed" using a LipSense gloss. I am not one to wear lipstick because it melts away and leaves a weird heavily-lined-lip look and I hate it. I'm very low maintenance when it comes to makeup, so reapplying and constantly checking a mirror is out of the question. THIS STAYS PUT. Seriously. The first time I tried it, I went out to eat, sipped sodas, drank coffee...I forgot about it until I looked in the mirror later that evening to find that LipSense hadn't faded or smeared AT ALL!Cons: 1. The colors are not great matches to their names or any online color charts. For instance, the Red Cherry looks like a darkish brick red, but it is more of a darkish plum color when worn. The Burnt Orange color is more of a bright Peach, etc. It is very difficult to find a shade you're happy with. 2. If you are unfamiliar with application, you will have trouble applying this stuff. I find it irritating that this isn't a message in bold lettering in the product description. It is NOT like a regular lipstick or gloss! It must be applied in one stroke across your lip from one side to the other. This is an awkward way to apply lipstick because you'll never get it quite even. You canNOT mash your lips together until this stuff is DRY, or your lips will stick together! If you overlap the color, as in trying to apply it the way you're used to using regular glosses, the area that is overlapped will be a darker color than the rest of your lip. It will stay that way too.3. This product canNOT be used by itself!! You MUST use the LipSense glosses. Something about them "seals" the color. While I detest the super glossy "just stuck your lips in bacon grease" look, the "Glossy" gloss seals the best. I use the matte gloss. It doesn't work as well, but my lips aren't disgustingly shiny either.4. LipSense colors will sting when drying onto your lips. It's not too bothersome to me, but beware. They contain a ridiculous amount of alcohols. That's what stings. (btw, I use regular rubbing alcohol to remove LipSense, instead of paying for their remover.)5. LipSense, despite what others say, severely dries out your lips! I recommend buying 2 gloss containers to every 1 color you buy. You'll need the moisture.SO, my take is this; while there are many cons, this is a handy product to have for when you dress up for an event and don't want the dreaded koolade mouth that other lipsticks give you. The color stays put without reapplying.

One and done lip color
I'm a busy nurse practitioner so my makeup has to be one and done for the day. I heard about lipsense from a friend, tried it, worked great. Goes on smoothly and mine stays in place all day with just one application of the gloss topcoat. Some folks say you have to reapply the gloss to keep the lipstick in place, but that hasn't been my experience. It truly is one and done. I also bought the Oops remover as the lip color does leave a mark so if you make a "mistake" the Oops remover is the best way to make a quick fix. Initially the lip color gave me a tingle. Not sure what that was about but was told it was a gentle exfoliation. I've checked the ingredients and don't see anything alarming. Like this product and now have it in about 10 shades.

Gorgeous color that really lasts!
I have a couple friends who have tried this product and have loved it, so I tried it too and I love it! This color, Pink Champagne on me is like the color or babies lips. I love it. It really did stay on all day for me too, on at 8 a.m. until after 10 p.m.

Perfect!
Recieved genuine lipsense product in sealed packaging. The color is gorgeous! Thanks! (Pic: Napa x3, glossy gloss)For those complaining about the burning and peeling: do your lipsense research! This is the natural process of your lips shedding skin and waxy build up from constant use of chapstick and other products. You have to stick with it! The burning sensation is from the cosmetic grade alcohol in the product which helps bind it to your lips. After you lips are done shedding the burning sensation goes away. Stick with it! If your color is flaking or caking, you’re putting it on too thick. Super thin layers is key! And constantly gloss over top. This helps it last all day and keep your lips moist! Gloss before and after eating. Hope this helps :)

The produce was fine but the color is the only complaint
The produce was fine but the color is the only complaint... It was not the color that was depicted in the advertisement...I couldn't see the color before opening it. Once it was opened I was not able to return it or change it.. .

Covers For Hours
I love LipSense! It lasts 5 to 6 hours for me. Also you need to use the glossy top coat gloss to seal well. After the initial glossy top coat I use the matt top coat gloss through out the day. I don't like the real shiny look and feel of the glossy gloss. If you over apply you tend to feel and see a residue on your lips, so do follow the directions. Also do not touch your lips together until after applying the glossy gloss top coat to seal.It is a bit pricy compared to other long wearing lip covers. But with my experience LipSense does last longer if applied following the directions. So I think it might be according to what your preference is for you.
