Quiet, Effective & Reliable
I use 2 Noctua fans in my Media PC. It's a mini ITX case, with an ATX Power Supply Unit. That leaves very little room inside for clunky coolers! The Noctua low-profile CPU cooler, uses this exact model 90mm fan. I built this PC almost 7 years ago, and have never replaced the Notua fan on the CPU cooler! I do clean my system every 6 months or so, and remove dust, but have never oiled the fan since it's install. To my amazement, it has not failed! I've turned and spun the fan by hand a few times, and it still freely flows.I also have a BeQuiet PSU, which has it's original fan. I noticed that when the room is cold, there is a very slight vibration noise from one of the fans (probably the PSU fan) which goes away after a minute or so of running. After almost 7 years, I am amazed that this slight noise is only just starting to creep in.So, I installed a Noctua 140mm fan in the PSU (since it's out of warranty now anyway) and replaced the CPU cooler fan with this Noctua 90mm fan (a like for like replacement). In my previous setup, I was not using the low-noise connector that you get in the Noctua box. However, this time I installed the low-noise connector on both the CPU fan and the PSU fan, and connected both fans directly to the Motherboard for optimum fan performance and monitoring.Without the low-noise connectors, the system was extremely quiet and never intruded on my movies or TV shows. And now with the low-noise connectors installed, the system is so quiet you cannot hear it at all! I also have a passively cooled nVidia GT1030 graphics card in the case, creating additional heat and have not noticed any problems or noise increase.Quiet - With the low-noise connector, I have to shine a flashlight into the case to see if the fans are spinning! >.<Effective - My tiny mini-ITX case remains cool and operational even after hours of use.Reliable - After almost 7 years of daily use, it's still going strong! Why did I replace it then? Simply for peace of mind.I highly recommend Noctua fans. They're definately worth the money.Additionally in the case, you get a low-noise adapter, Y-splitter cable and extention cable. There are also some low noise rubber mounts.

Quality Product and Excellent Customer Service
I bought this fan 5 years ago. It failed finally last week, but there is no doubt that this is a truly excellent product that has lived up to its name.I had turned it on 24/7 for nearly 5 years without stopping it for a single day on my PC and it has served me very faithfully and quietly, keeping the system cool at all times. When it finally failed this week, I thought I would simply buy a new one to replace it, but was surprised to see on the original box (Yes, I kept it.) stating that the warranty is 6 years. I am based in Singapore and bought this from Amazon USA, and the company is headquartered in Austria. I thought even if I had raised an RMA request, it might be too cumbersome and costly to ship the defective fan back to Noctua in Austria. Still, I tried my luck to write in.Surprisingly, within a day, I was told by a Mr. Anthony Maleschitz from the Noctua Support Team that all I need to do is to break a few blades from the defective fan to render it unusable, and send a picture of the broken fan to him as proof, and that would save me the trouble and cost of shipping back the defective fan.I did as instructed and by the next day, I was informed by Mr. Maleschitz that a replacement fan would be shipped out to me soon (In fact, it was shipped out the next day and I would expect to receive it within 4 days). It's completely hassle free and I am truly touched and impressed by his excellent customer service.I have no doubt at all to recommend this product to anyone who looks forward to buy a genuinely quiet and quality product, and above all, to patronize a company that truly values and takes great care even of a small and faraway customer like me.

These are the best 92mm fans you can buy
These fans are quiet and have good air flow and pressure. Doing a great job keeping my portable DanCase A4 PC cool.

Not silent, but the quietest CPU fan I've used!
I got this to replace the stock fan on my Cooler Master Vortex Plus. I needed more clearance in my Foxconn SFF R20-A1 HTPC Case. This fan fit perfectly under the lid and is the quietest 92mm PWM fan I've ever used. It is quieter than my Scythe Suriken rev. B heatsink fan which is 100mm. That's no knock on the Scythe fan, it's very quiet on it's own right. However, this noctua fan beat it hands down. The Nitti Gritty:This fan has rubber pads in the corners that dampen vibration. As the fan speed increases the air flow noise becomes perceivable, but even at full speed it is not loud or particularly annoying. At full speed this fan is about as loud as a PS3 idling.Let me be clear. This IS NOT the quietest fan you can buy! It is perhaps the quieteset 92mm x 15mm fan you can buy. If you need the combination of low noise, low profile, in a 92mm PWM fan, I would recommend this fan. On the other hand, if you can fit a 120mm fan then don't buy this. There are much quieter, better performing fans in the 120mm size than the 92mm. I would recommend the Cooler Master Sickleflo 120mm fans. They are not PWM but they put out 69 CFM at a 19 dB. If I could fit one in my case it would have replaced this for sure. Food for thought. Good hunting!

Low profile 92 x 14 mm fan
This is a nice fan with a nice assortment of extension wires for PWM. I did need to cannibalize an OmniJoin NA-JC2 from another Noctua fan set to wire a 2-pin JST connector to this fan for my project. This would have been a nice inclusion. Of course this is a PWM fan, but there are no available 3 pin versions of this low-profile fan.Overall, the fan works perfectly and as expected. Max RPM (2200 RPM) is quiet with good airflow.
