Too much more bang for the buck.
Pros:-Big screen size, display produces good colours.-Excellent metal body with beautiful metallic blue paint. Overall nice looks front and back.-Reasonably decent camera (No OIS though)-Dual sim.-SD card support.-Notification led (a slightly bigger led might have been more better but it is fine, pity they have removed this feature in Honor View 20, Without always on display this feature is necessary in my opinion).-Excellent big sized finger print scanner (better than honor 10) and at the right place that is on the back of the phone.-Fast face recognition.-The front of the phone has utilised the space very efficiently, almost the entire front is used for screen and not wasted in any useless thing.-You can buy decent screen protectors and cases for this phone.-Reasonably stable software (Android 9.0) except few blemishes (read Cons).-Hardware was able to run Fortnite without any lags (some warning shadow drawing in front of your eyes, fake or no grass etc.)-I was also able to set default music player as Google Play Music (makes it very handy for automatic in car usage via bluetooth).-Also I use Android Auto in my car sometimes and it works like a charm.-Very fast charging.Cons:-It is not possible to use 2 sims and and SD card at the same time. It is only a physical restriction as there is no space to put sim and sd card together. However I am using 2 sims and SD card together, I burned one of my sims and pasted the chip part on to the SD card and they are working fine now. WARNING you can stuck your sim tray doing this, you have to carefully shave the back side of the burned sim to make it thinner but there is sufficient space in phone to carry both (I cannot be held responsible if something goes wrong) See the attached picture. You can also do this without burning with some electric ribbon but sim will hang out and you will have to keep the hanging sim rested in the case basically will look ugly in my opinion.-Software trickery, I was not able to install Amazon Shopping app from Google Play Store, rather it was already installed by Huawei's own app store that is App Gallery and there is no way you can install it from Google Play Store. But I will not discard any star rating for this although I am really annoyed about this as they can do the same with other apps as well, Google should do something about this.-Huawei does not allow you to unlock oem lock on this phone at all. (Pro stuff so can be ignored).-Huawei has changed a lot of things in the notification bar of android and settings menu and home screen etc. But still it is reasonably close to default android interface.-You cannot make SD card adopted as internal storage which is allowed by default android OS (I do not understand why Samsung and Huawei both don't like this feature of Android and always disable it).-VoLTE and WiFi calling does not work with all network providers in UK.I consider it more better phone that honor 10, better finger print sensor, front is all screen etc. honor 10 has better camera but even that is not going to give you SLR quality pictures and honor play's camera is not rubbish either.

Amazing value for an excellent device.
I must admit I have been a faithful OnePlus owner for a number of years, however I noticed that the price on the Honor Play had dropped and I thought I would buy it and give it to my sister after a week of using it in New York first.First things first, the phone has a very classic metal feel, it does feel heavy but in a strong sturdy way (I haven't attempted to drop it), my immediate practice with any new phone is to slap on a tempered glass screen protector (A standard film protector is already applied to the phone) and wrap it in a case (Already provided in the box). The phone is big slightly smaller than my OnePlus 6 with a tiny chin with Honor branding on the front. The back looks all neat. The bottom has a headphone jack, speaker which is loud and a USB-C port.Powering on the screen seems very bright and you are taken through the initial setup, which was quick and easy. If you're already an Android user porting your apps and details is fairly painless. Once into the homescreen some adjustments are needed, the interface is different to my OnePlus 6 with a iPhone layout of just apps on your homescreen that can look daughting at first but you can change this in settings or install a different launcher.Using the Honor Play as a day to day phone seems to be fairly positive the battery life is incredible, I say this having my general notifications going and my Google Fit tracking going I managed to use only 25% battery from 8:30 in the morning until 19:00. Putting the phone into airplane mode in the evening it got me to the end of a 2nd day perfectly. The one thing I do need to touch on is the camera, I had read the reviews that seemed to knock the Honor Play and said that photography wasn't its strength, this might be the case but the day and night shots I took on the Honor Play compared to my OnePlus 6 are more vivid and just look better (hopefully the attachments have worked and you can see this). You can also enable a Quick Photo mode, by enabling you to double press the power button quickly it will take a snap from an off state, the only issue is you don't know exactly what it has captured until afterwards and I found that the majority of pictures seemed out of focus. The front facing camera does a good job although it did seem soft as the focus is fixed, this is great for the Instagram crowd and it has a number of different lighting effects that seem to do a good job.Additionally the phone supports facial unlock, finger print and pin you can also enable a glove mode so you can use standard gloves to tap and swipe, it does make the screen more sensitive in general but it's a welcome addition especially when it's cold. Simply hold the phone up as if you are looking at it and it will turn on the screen and away you go.Performance seemed smooth, every now and then it would skip if I was running a game and then swapping to Whatsapp or a browser session, it never impacted the experience just ocassionally felt like it disrupted the flow slightly. But this is a minor niggle, games played great, apps opened super fast, some faster than my OnePlus 6 and I can't work out why but this is a high end processor in a affordable mid price point.Overall I am incredibly impressed and am now an Honor converted fan.
