Seiko Kinetic Watch Energy Supplier-Winder - Black

Expensive for what it is, but having said that it is a really handy device.I have 4 Kinetic Seiko's and it was a chore trying to keep them charged as I do not wear them on a daily basis.Left each of the 4 watches on the unit for 3.5 hours each to charge each watch.Should not need to charge then again for 6 months.Another Kinetic Seiko is in my future due to this unit.The hum during charging can be distracting but that is cured by placing unit in an unused room for the charging period.

Well I have two Seiko kinetic dive watches, along with many many other watches. I needed a charger because I don't wear the kinetics enough to keep the batteries charged to a decent level. This charger works as advertised. However, the charge level indicated by the watch immediately after charging is typically higher than the actual level of charge. Wait for at least 20-30 minutes after the watch has been charged and then check its charge level. I already have one of mine charged with 6 month's reserve power and am working on the second. It took literally about 6-9 hours to get the full 6 month's charge on my first kinetic.The great thing about getting this charger is, now I can buy other kinetic watches and keeping them fully charged will be super easy!!4 stars instead of 5 because this item is ridiculously overpriced!! Yet, I needed it.

Great machine for charging Seiko Kinetic watches, but noisy and expensive

There is a much cheaper way to charge your kinetic watch and it is available on Amazon.This charger is nothing more than a simple conductive charger no different in technology than your wireless cell phone or electric toothbrush charger.On Amazon you can purchase a Braun Oral B Electric Toothbrush Replacment Charger Model 3757 for about 10 percent of the price. There are many versions of the charger but they all work the same.Sit your watch with the coil oriented on the vertical stem and overnight and you have a full charge. Cut out a small piece of sponge or foam to sit over the stem as a spacer / watch grip so your watch does not fall off.If you do not have a see through back, then just experiment rotating the watch. You will find the sweet spot.Easy to see it work when you are starting with a kinetic that needs a charge.Simple.You can find many tutorial videos showing you how to do this on you tube.I get about a month's charge each time I do this.Awesome.

If you like wearing different watches, stay away from Seiko kinetics. They use body movement to charge a capacitor that stores the energy to run the watch. Normal activities don't generate enough energy to keep the watch fully charged. Standard watch winders don't either. You need the Seiko charger so if you want to buy their kinetic watch, plan on spending $300-$400 for a charger to keep it running.

I purchased the energy supplier from Amazon Warehouse Deals for a very deep discount. The unit was listed as "used" with a damaged box and missing the instructions. The unit arrived in the original box which had been opened but inspected and sealed by Amazon Warehouse Deals. When I opened the undamaged box, the unit, its transformer, and electric cords were sealed in their original packaging/wrapping and, at the bottom of the box, under the unit, was the original instructions (also sealed). I have used the unit to charge my Seiko Kinetic watch a number of times and it works perfectly! As many reviews state, the unit has a high pitched ringing when charging so it probably shouldn't be used nearby while sleeping, but it will fully charge my watch at the lowest 30 min setting (which turns off the unit when time is up). Great product made even better by the Amazon Warehouse Deals price!

This item is very costly, but when you own several Seiko Kinetic watch's its a must have. It's makes a humming noise so you might want to find a out of the way place to set it up. Find the watch model # on the back of the watch , mine were all 5M, set the timer, position the watch correctly and push the red button. Simple. Worked great!

This device does not rock or rotate the watch to wind it. Instead, the unit will charge up a Seiko Kinetic watch using electromagnetic induction. The watch is placed face down on the upper surface of the charger and oriented with respect to the model number of the watch according to the diagram on the charger. Proper orientation of the watch evidently aligns the coil within the watch's generating unit with the coil in the charger, allowing maximum energy transfer. It works! The duration of the charge is set for either 30 minutes or 3.5 hours using a slide switch. There is no timer to automatically start the charger. Charging is begun by pushing the red start button for every charge.If you don't wear your Seiko Kinetic watch regularly, this charger will help you to keep it going. At $249 it is no bargain but it works well.
