So far, so good. It's really simple to use and install.The 13yr old cameras I removed was a large task. It was actually the hardest part of the project.Hopefully it stays this way.

I did not like this item for two reasons which are as follows:1. One of the features were the night vision showed in color. I plug in the camera and it did not.2. The camera seemed to be sturdily made; however, the D.I.Y. must pay close attention to the orientation of the camera opening in the back.

I purchased three of these for my entranceways and garage, works great and adjusts easily.

I had an older system that worked wonderfully (HD 1080). It lasted nearly 10 years before it stopped recording. I could see everything, for they were still functional, but they recorded nothing. The system was simple and easy to use. Now, I bought this one. Perhaps it is the POE, but the cameras lack a natural flow in real time. The default is setup for detection. It took some time to make them record continuously. Yes, detection only saves hard drive space, but sometimes the detection fails. Nothing is perfect. For the price, I'd rather have my old HD system back, BUT the zoom features on this NEW system is AWESOME. So, would I recommend this? If you have the time, YES. If you want simplicity, get a lesser model.

Unfortunately, wired camera systems like this Swann system are very complicated to program. They require the NVR be connected to a monitor, and although there are some default program settings, it is complicated to go through all the programming. It seems wireless camera systems are much more simple, and can be fully programmed from a mobile device. In my opinion, Swann (and other wired systems) need the ability to fully program from a mobile device. Other that that complaint, the system seems to work ok and the video is good.

I received the unit right away. Installed everything and had trouble with one camera. After troubleshooting and trying every scenario possible then consulting with the manufacturer, I was unable to get it operating and was never provided a replacement. Two weeks later had an additional camera that went out, I reached out to the manufacturer and have yet to hear back from them. Very bad customer service and technical support. I would not recommend this system to anyone
