Good germination
They arrived very quickly, and all but one had little roots starting by the time I put them in the ground a few days later!

This unusual small-time product is working for me!
I ordered these on Sunday 2023-08-20. Email said they should arrive Wednesday through Friday, but it didn't occur to me to check my USPS mailbox, where I discovered them on Saturday. The plastic bubble envelope contained nine bulbils (more than the advertised six), with only a piece of brown paper folded around them. No instructions, but none needed. Two were clusters of three bulbils, one medium size and one small. Four had a leaf already growing out of them, mostly about an inch long and one about four inches. The leaves looked only slightly withered, despite my delay in finding them in my mailbox. I put the four with leaves in the ground that same day, and now two weeks later they are continuing to grow, with three or four leaves now emerged from each one, and the initial leaf at least a few inches long. I also planted the medium cluster of three, where no leaves have emerged yet, but I expect they will when ready. In the past I've kept eating the oldest leaf year after year without ever pulling them up, and have also planted the bulbils that appear on some leaves, so these can go far. I saw that late summer and early fall is the one time that these are available (from anyone), so get these while you can!

none germinated
unfortunately none of the onions sprouted when planted last fall. They were planted immediately upon receipt. I was so excited to start seeing little sprouts, but none sprouted. So disappointed.

So far so good
The sets I received were smaller than expected and arrived not looking so great..due to the local weather ( unexpected snow storm) i was not able to plant them out side right away .so o stuck them in a pot hoping to keep them alive.....to my surprise even the shriveled up dry ones looked good .once planted...My grandma used to grow them..and sadly the house sold before I could get a start./ set ...so I am super happy I found these ..and was a bit worried about them..once they were delivered.....my worry was unfounded...I doubt I will ever need to order more ..once transplanted i should be good till I die..but if I for someone reason ..need more sets...this is the place I will order from...despite my initial worries...I am more than happy with the sets..and the speed they arrivedUpdate one year later .. not all survived but the ones that did are doing awesome..

Little bulbs, but not for long!!!
These little guys (about not too tiny, but the size of a cocktail onion) came and I put them in a drawer and forgot about them, oops!! A month later I found them and freaked out that I forgot and put a moistnpaper towel and zipped bag for 3 days and they sprouted roots. Planted them with a terracotta watering spike and put them in the garage where the natural light shines all day though the little windows.7 days pass and these things are about a foot long!!! 9 of the 10 sprouted up and reached fo the sky while the last one is only about 2 inches long and taking it's time.I was beyond happy with the results and that the bulbs came in such great condition that I ordered another group of them.I know I can't wait and pick off the top sets but I really want to place a bunch of them faster. This has been such a great experience and I cannot wait to put them in the garden

Well they are all looking good
So I set them in this container with some root stimulater and they are rooting and some are starting to grow. So far they are all good. I ordered two batches. I’d say it’s a good supplier.Well only a few are taking their time to show up. I count 23 growing. I soaked them for an afternoon. Wasn’t sure if they needed to have a drink after their long trip. Gave them some root food and covered them up. I also made them a green house to rest their heads in. Well u can see them grow from morning to night. On thanks giving they were a cm away from the ceiling of their home that night they raised the roof. I’m going to have to do some remodeling to their home so I can insure they survive until I’m able to plant them and all their neighbors.

Not Egyptian Walking Onions
While the product I received is growing and doing fairly well considering the cold nights we’ve had this spring in southern Iowa, what I received was not Egyptian Walking Onions. They came quickly and were packaged well. Looked healthy, bulbs were small but this is my first time buying any onions so that might be standard. They were like an 1inch thick?According to AI the variety I have is just a common white (or maybe yellow) onion, my particular ones growing are trying to bolt on me. The green onions I took from the tops to try and keep them from bolting have a good taste so far.

Much smaller than I was expecting, but that's ok.
This was my fault. I was thinking more along the lines of small white or red onion sets you buy at the nursery. Which are about the size of a small walnut. Thinking about it after I saw them I thought they were more size appropriate. Package really stunk which made me concerned about the onions. But they looked fine, no mold, no rot. I had to Google the flavors to make sure I had made a mistake. I'm going to put half of them in the ground now but it is fall in central California here I'm going to save the other half to plant in the spring. We do get a heavy a heavy frost here some years so I'm afraid they might freeze that's why I'm saving the other half for spring.
