Zero Stars / Several Reasons
I ordered 4 Japanese Black Pines. Two of one kind (Kotobuki) and 2 other, different kinds (a Banshosho and a Mikwa). They did not come marked / had no tags (see 4 trees together). They just came with an order slip in the box. I will likely never know which type is which, or which one does well when I want to order more trees, and if they don't do well, which kind not to order again. And I will continue to buy more pines to Bonsai, just not here. The trees were jammed in a box too small for shipping with the tops bent down to fit. One had several dead branches (photo) and another had the worst graft I've see yet (photo). Some people may not care. But order from some other vendor if you'd have similar concerns.

bonasi heaven
My husband was looking for a nice Japanese black pine but didn't want to pay several hundred dollars for one. I found this one on the website and ordered it. The price was great and when unboxed he loved it. He has begun using the wire I also purchased from Amazon to create his bonsai.

That’s tiny
The plant was received in a timely fashion, however it was surprisingly small. It would have been suitable had we wanted to make a bonsai but we actually want to grow the tree.It seems like a healthy enough plant, but we shall see how it’s thrives, then perhaps you can ask again.

Know what you're getting - Ad is incomplete
Nothing in the ad mentions the plant is grafted so I had no reason to think it was. When it arrived, in a smashed Priority Mail box (not tube), I feared for the worst. The needles were smashed flat but what I was most disappointed with was the ugliest grafted trunk I have ever seen. I bought this for my 84 year old Bonsai-enthusiast dad and fortunately he was pleased just to get the tree - if it were bought for myself I would have likely tossed it since, in bonsai, trunk appearance is so critical. I suggest the seller provide a more accurate description of what is being sold so that no one else spends $40 only to be disappointed and package the tree(s) a little more appropriately to ensure safe arrival.

Not Quite What I Expected
The item was much smaller than I expected especially for the price and didn’t reflect the item pictured. I haven’t transplanted it yet so I have no idea how it will thrive. Planting directions and plant care information were NOT included. 👎🏽
